MooMoo's Vegetarian Cuisine (Frozen dinners)

  • Has anybody tried these? They are brand new to this area, but they may have been around a while.

Cashew StirFry is good - 320 calories but the most filling thing in the world. Better eat it with a salad or some more veggies on the side.

Poblano Chick Pea Patties are also good, (230 calories) but would be better cooked in the oven or finished in a skillet. I nuked it and the patties were kinda soft. I think they'd be better a little crispier.
  • They aren't in my area yet, the website has said they are for months but I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Poblano chick pea patties sound so good!
  • We just got them last week, so keep your eyes out. And put hot sauce on the poblano patties. Yum!
  • Bacilli, they aren't in our stores either, so we special ordered them through a local store. We had to buy whole cases, so Jen and I split a case of the poblano patties and the cashew stirfry.

I really liked the flavors of the cashew stir fry but thought it screamed for broccoli. I'll add some next time.

I liked the flavor of the poblano chickpea patties, but it also needed something green on the side. I agree with Jen that the patties were a bit wet. The second time I tried them I carefully lifted them out of the container after microwaving, and put them into a skillet to kind of dry them out. Next time I'll just bake them in the oven.
  • I just checked out their website- they look SO good. I wish natural/veg frozen meals weren't so expensive. I assume these are pricey?
  • I can't remember... but they weren't too bad. Higher than Lean Cuisine, cheaper than Kashi.
