I can't wait to get back to my kitchen in the states to cook some of these recipes! Mexican is my favorite and no one in Ireland seems to eat it/know it exists. I'm trying not to buy any groceries (other than fresh fruit and vegetables) until I go home because I have some stuff I've put off eating.

Today I could hardly get out of bed! My body is so sore from lifting & running on the track. I almost always run on the eliptical, and now the front of my skins hurt, any suggestions?

I have my first final tomorrow and I'm nervouse. Plus my body was aching so I REALLY didn't want to go to the gym. But I just put on my clothes and went anyway (Iris I was thinking of you and how you were slaving away working out so I couldn't leave you alone!). I managed to do a 5k on the eliptical without it hurting my shins. So day 5 of 16 was a success :)

Hopefully at the end of the 16 days exercise will become a routine. It's always been kinda off and on for me. Which along with diet is why my weight has fluctuated over the years. Well this time exercise shall become a habit! (a little self motivational speech going on here.. lol)

tigger... did you mean you skin hurts or shins hurt?

Ok so day 6 of 16 I went to the gym and ran 5k on the elliptical.

This exercise is causing me to do some personal reflection. I never feel like I want to go to the gym and always try to rationalize my way out of it, and sometime the first 5 minutes are hard, but once I get going I actually like running. And afterwards I'm happy. Plus I like what it does to my body. So why do I try to find ways out of exercising? Am I lazy? self-sabotaging? maybe I'm just unmotivated? Hmm.. I must reflect more.

Anyways sorry I always post so much :-p hope you don't mind my ramblings.

tigger175-I know how you feel, I don't feel like I'm a lazy person but yet so many days in the year are without an exercise check mark! Maybe unmotivation I mean what else could it be if you don't feel like your lazy right? hmm.....

ooook so it's not a good weigh in but i have been eating like crap but i was better this week because i went to the gym twice and i didn't the previous couple weeks.

uggggggh. I've been see-sawing up and down 2 pounds every day, and Thursday has to be an up day. 145.5.

I'm the same as last week, 152. Went to Curves really early yesterday when I was barely awake, tripped over a piece of equipment, fell and sprained my wrist. Feeling very achy and sore from the fall today, but that's about it. I usually fall at least once during the winter here. Think I'll forgo the workout today, call my trainer see what he recommends for rest and selfcare. Meditation was difficult last night. I love mexican food, going to make tacos today. I hate having to make two separate kinds, family won't eat the soy meat and veggies.

i keep forgetting that thurs. is weigh in! it seems like such an odd day (i usually do friday or monday) that i don't think about it. I'll check tomorrow. i'm guessing i'll be about the same as monday, which was 142.5.

Tigger, i let you down!! i didn't get a workout in yesterday, it was a really crazy day and EVERYTHING ran late. I'm back on it today, though!

I have a lot going on for the next week and even though it seems like it will be hard to make time for exercise, I know that will make me feel better and I need to do it.

Day 7 of 16: Ran 1 mile + lifted for about 30 minutes

I went shopping in town today and bought my mom a really cute Christmas ornament :) I love Christmas! I can't wait to share it with my family in friends.

Iris- Its ok :) I understand life being busy. I'm worried about getting in my exercise next week when I have 4 finals on consequative days, but I'll try to remember exercising is a way to de-stress and I'll need to be doing a lot of that.

I'll weigh in early tomorrow.

Hey guys!
So Im at 219 this week....Its another pound down. I just finished Eat to Live and I am sooo excited to start it. I started today and Ive lost a pound since this morning but I know that is probably nothing to do with the program...more about water or something.
On another note, today me and my husband won a trip to New York to see the Killers. Neither of us have ever really been anywhere interesting, or even really anywhere out of Canada. Plus, Its free! Well, thats my super exciting News. Ive always wanted to go to New York!
I hope all is well with you guys...and that no one is too stressed over the holidays. I made huge batches of vegan cookies for gifts and Ive done horrible having them around me...blah. They are sooo good though!

Hey girls,
I've been so busy trying to get ready for my trip, I haven't had time to post. Anyway, my weight is the same, which is sort of weird because I think I've been eating less. I haven't been keeping track of my calories, though, so maybe I'm not eating less.

Anyway, good job on the exercise tigger and iris!! You're awesome!

Erin-Congratulations! How exciting! New York is my favorite place in the world! If you need any advice about anything there, let me know. I've been so many times, I don't even consider myself a tourist anymore! Oh, you'll have so much fun! And I love the Killers!!
