Sarah, my mouth is watering at your menu...it sounds fantastic..you'll have to tell your guests that you have some very jealous cyber friends who want to eat all the food. Maybe you could take pictures of the buffet set up, and I could sit here and lick the monitor?

Cor! I made the refridgerator cake that Peacock gave the link to (thanks Peacock ) Recipe here (at the bottom of that page). I subbed in some broken up brazil nuts and glace cherries and made it with some ancient cherry brandy I found at the back of the booze cupboard instead of soya milk (because this is just for DH) and he absolutely ADORED it! Best of all - its probably the simplest dessert I've ever made.

I've not had anything like that which is so easy. I'm completely gobsmacked by how something so simple can be so gorgeous - and I don't even much like chocolate.
DH finished the rest of the last one and is now making plans for the next one which (according to him) is going to be hazlenut, date and Tia Maria. This is a great way of getting rid of all the odds and ends in the booze and dried fruits/nuts cupboard. |
