The only breakfast I can eat day after day is porridge but I ring the changes with that adding in blueberries, cinnamon - sometimes chopped apple or pear - whatever I can find.

I can't eat rice krispies - they are SO high GI that I'm hungry again in an hour.

 at the idea of a fire in your toaster. Must go and find my toaster. I got one as a wedding present (10 years ago) and its still in its box somewhere. DH has started making himself toast for breakfast - which he's making under the grill - seems stupid when we've got a super duper deluxe toaster somewhere.

I always burn stuff under the grill.
To be fair I often burn things in the toaster, that was a wedding present, one of those expensive Dualit ones, which looks very nice but I can't get to the plug and it has a wind up timer, so if something burns, ie seeds from a bagel, I can't switch it off so i'm often flapping around trying to find something to fish things out with, I inviarably burn myself then the deafening smoke alarm goes off etc etc...

Tried Grape nuts this morning, and while they stay crunchy in milk, I wasn't terribly inspired, husband will have to finish them.

Sainsbury's Easy oats (like Oat so simple I guess) with just water and a cube of sugar. Then toast - cos I love toast with butter (naughty me).

Just had soup and more toast for lunch- broccoli and stilton soup yum!

Trying to focus on breakfasrt

just drunk whole bottle of fizzy wine most ive had in ages , feel crap. No dinner. Was tempted to get takeaway, would.ve been 1st in 18 months, not much better drinking that nuch wine.

Husband in london, now i have to drink a pint of water.

hope you all doing well with your diet/life/plans atc

I can't drink fizzy wine - even one glass of it mucks up my blood sugar levels and gives me a monumental slump.

I love the taste of white wine but it gives me awful heartburn - so I stick with red wine or vodka & diet lime tonic - but not for breakfast though - well... not in recent years!

BritinNJ 12-07-2006 07:20 AM

 at Sarah not drinking fizzy wine for breakfast recently.... you do make me smile luv :)

I love fizzy cheap white wine, screw cap, not corked :) I'm a very cheap date to take out....don't like red wine, feels like it's left something on my tongue...

And.....BBL... was the fizzy wine for dinner the night before? Or did you have it for breakfast? :)

Sarah Ann 12-07-2006 09:36 AM

Who? Me??? ;)

Actually, on the Chrimbo menu DH put champagne and strawberries for Christmas breakfast in bed while we open our stockings! I got a shock when I went to do the grocery order - there's no way I'm spending £35 on breakfast!!!!!!!

BritinNJ 12-07-2006 09:37 AM

No, Bigbonedlass....LOL! Oooooooo, that sounds very romantic, strawberries and champagne in bed for Christmas... I don't think I could drink that early though... I do like a good old cuppa first thing....

bigbonedlass 12-07-2006 09:42 AM

Ignore the fizzy wine thing, I was a bit drunk, suffering for it now, big time. Sometimes have bucksfizz on christmas morning.

BritinNJ 12-07-2006 07:56 PM

 @ BBL.... I've posted a few drunk messages in my time luv, and some good e-mails to my Mum, she saves and prints them all up and it's funny to read them after a while...

I bought some kelloggs frosties for a 'change' and can't stand the bloody things :tantrum: i'm used to cornflakes with f/f skim milk and find these frosties way to sweet for me  so I bought a humongous box of good old cornflakes the other day so I can have them again ;) this morning though I had a kinetix shake just because i'd been reading body for life last night :lol3:

BritinNJ 12-07-2006 11:31 PM

This morning it was Porridge and chopped Banana followed by Coffee!

YP1 12-12-2006 02:53 PM

I've started having two breakfasts - fruit juice and dried fruit before the gym and then my porridge afterwards. It helps me get through my workout without wanting to chew off my own arm...
