Thanks U.K chicks!
I just wanted to thank those of you that recommended the Australian Women's Weekly cookbooks to me. I had seen them years ago but couldn't find them again here until recently.
Last week I bought a vegetarian cookbook from the series and it's terrific! I made the vegetable biriyani rice recipe and it was a big hit. I even recommended the series to someone else on this site. I may have to hit you all up for some translations for certain ingredients I've never heard of - Thanks again for the help! :) |
 That would be kykaree I guess? ;) I even found myself on the Australian Women's Weekly site the other day I forget why! :) I don't even cook... I think I was just being nosey. :p

I love them, too - I use the Casserole one all the time. I haven't got the Vegetarian one but I have got the Vegetable one and thats got some great ideas.
|
Ooh, they have a site? I will have to check that out! :)
|
Mauvaisroux, you'll have to remember that a courgette is just a zucchini and that aubergine is eggplant!:D
|
It's just like us UK chicks trying to use Fitday :dizzy:
|
Thanks mummy_tummy! :D There were a few things in the book that I wasn't sure about. I will have to post them here to see if you lot can help me out.
|
We will do our best! You can also help us if we need a American/Canadian to UK explanation!
I love those recipe books too! They sell them on Amazon but I usually have found them in book shops near me. |
This might help with the translations: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/People/mbishop/engfood.html
