Well after gaining a pound on Thursday( that`ll be the cake!) I feel strangely motivated to get on with it this week.
Cycled miles the other night and felt quite saintly after even If my bum hurt loads.
I`ve eaten loads of fish since then..no choccy at all. I`ll try not to get too carried away just in case things go pear shaped later in the week.

Hi sat and Sarah Ann - thanks for the welcome!
I appreciate the support!
Soon, I will be flying over the pond for holiday in September - Spain, Switzerland to visit the in-laws....mmmmmnnnn paella,,decent yoghurt,,,Swiss chocolate.. (smack, Smack) wait,, I had to hit myself. That's better.

The difficult part is that the food is so much better in Europe - not the nasty processed stuff we call eats in America! If I can manage to keep my weight even while there - I'll be happy.

I've put on 3 pounds I'm a bit mystified but I didn't weigh myself last week so maybe I put on last week (2 family birthdays) and maintained this week.

Another pound gone this week. I thought it would be more after all this weeks drama so I'm a little disappointed. Ah well - at least its another one gone for good!

12 stone 3lbs Saturday morning, and this morning after a grease-fest last night!

Hopefully I've discovered the secret of shifting pounds - 3 hours working out on Wednesday and 1400kcals the rest of the week! Oh and a re-feed day on a long-run day!

Well, when I got back from Leicester on Sunday I weighed myself on my friend's scales (I am house sitting at the moment) and I weighed 14 st 6 whcih of course is bad, but I don't believe I have put much on. I was looking for somewhere to eat in Leics on Saturday night and it mainly those fast food joints. I never bother with those anyway - I am veggie but don't like their burgers as I am hungry about half hour after eating them. Anyway, for some reason the smell of them just made me sick so I walked away. I did not even bother with any of the ethnic places cos although there are a lot of asians there, the restaurants I saw could not beat the London ones, ditto the one Thai one. Apologies to anyone from Leics I am not doing a "South is best" thing, and I realise that my looking at the menu of a few restaurants in the town is hardly indicative of the whole area. Anyway I passed an Italian but avoided it on the grounds it had a romantic setting. When one eats alone one does not want to be surrounded by people "eating each others faces off!".

I went to Bella Italia whcih is a chain but was ok. I had a veggie pizza - yeah I know, calories, but I rarely eat pizza. I have to be really in the mood.

Saturday I had not choice over what to eat - well, ok I did , it was a buffet. It was a 50th birthday (my reason for being South of Watford in the first place!!). There were quiches, sandwiches etc etc. I only had 1 alcoholic drink all weekend and that was a pint of Stella. It was so good to see my freind and his family again. He and his wife went to Canada 15 years ago. He had not changed nor had his Burton on Trent accent!

Following my holiday I lost 0.5lb which I'm happy with. I also seem to have got my motivation back again (I was really struggling before I took the time away) and have planned several days meals and am returning back to the gym as I haven't been in three weeks!
