peacock 2 06-21-2006 04:13 AM

I put on 2lb! I blame the frenchman ..again. He gave me a nectarine in place of the usual chocolate and you know how calorific nectarines are, don't you peeps! (wink wink!)

Pachyderm 06-21-2006 05:51 AM

:whoo: That smily is so funny. Well done Lou on the 3lbs

Sorry Peacock for the 2lbs! :sorry: It's probably just a blip - some weeks you go up, some you go down, as long as there is a downward trend in the long-run....

Pretty pleased with my 9lb loss so far, I just hope I can keep it up!

peacock 2 06-21-2006 06:20 AM

Yes it was a bot bad for me to put on after I lost weight last week When I gain my friend loses and it goes the other way around as well.

I should blame it on the picnic I guess. I did rather pig out.

Well done on the 9lb so far. I am still 2lb short of my stone goal - boo hoo.

Pachyderm 06-21-2006 11:44 AM

Just eat really well for the next couple of weeks. You'll get there and then you will feel so pleased with yourself.

veggie 06-21-2006 06:40 PM

Well done YP :cp: and Lou :D

Peacock - to the frenchman :frypan: ;)

I lost 3.5 but I'm in a mood! The weigh in woman at sw can't count and put me down for 2.5 I pointed out it was 3.5 but she only changed it in my book and not the weigh in slip... so... someone else who lost 3 pounds (and that was over two weeks :p ) got the slimmer of the week when IT SHOULD OF BEEN MEEEEEEEEEEEEE  :p and there was a pack of hifi bars in the s.o.w basket I wanted them!

I've lost 12.5 in 2 weeks though so yay! :D

Homersmummy 06-21-2006 07:00 PM

Good on ya Veggie! :D
My sw weigh in woman can't count either. She tried to see if I was due another certificate last week, but she couldn't work it out... it took me to tell her I was! It's looking good for a loss this week. I got drunk on the weekend, lots of booze consumed, but it doesn't seem to have affected my weight... that could've been cause I didn't eat at all that day! Oops!

Results tomorrow. :)

YP1 06-22-2006 02:12 AM

Well done Veggie!!! You're going well. Good luck Homersmummy.

peacock 2 06-22-2006 04:23 AM

Poor Veggie! That s*cks. But congrats anyway.

The booze I consumed on the weekend didn't seem to have made a difference. I lost another 3lb!! I am now 4lb from 3 stone! And that all important sticker. ;):carrot:

peacock 2 06-23-2006 04:31 AM

That's great Homersmummy!

However, be careful now - the pounds hae a habit of sneaking on when you think you can indulge a bit!

For a few days (when I was on WW years ago) I seemed to be able to eat a Mushroom & cheese filled croissant on my way to work. So I thought great- my indulgence. However suddenly the pounds piled on. Dammit.

lou1978 06-23-2006 04:44 AM

Veggie - i read summit in the rules n regs bit in my book (at the back) about discrepancys being written down on the paper they keep and scales.. might be worth lookin into.. might get a free week outa it hehe

peacock 2 06-23-2006 04:51 AM

Veggie wuz robbed!!!

lou1978 06-23-2006 05:55 AM

i think so !!!!!!!!

we know the truth !!!!!!!!!!!! well done chick... keep at it !!

veggie 06-23-2006 10:05 AM

Well done HM :bravo:

Ooh I'll have a look in the back of the book lou... ;)

My new consultant she's only been doing it 4 weeks and people have complained to sw already! But then you did have to wait for 25 mins to pay and get weighed!

lou1978 06-23-2006 11:12 AM

sounds like she needs some training + maths lessons.. hehe

Oh don't worry about that, i've kinda got obsessed by this dieting lark now. Following it to the letter! I don't even have my Saturday chocolate bar treat anymore. :)
I'm determined to get this weight off. :(

PhatPhoenix 06-24-2006 08:10 AM

Well done, Homersmummy. I'm sure you will get it off, too. It seems to happen when people get focussed like that!

Veggie - I think you were robbed, and all!

I haven't chimed in on this thread as I hadn't weighed myself for ages. I had got down to 158lbs (I started last July at 195lbs), but went slightly off the rails - nothing major, but enough to put me off weighing myself for a while, just in case the #s I saw upset me! Anyway, I got myself back on track for a week or two, then about a week ago, re-weighed. 162lb. Oh damn. I'd stalled around there since January. Ah well. Never mind. Last week, I switched to the Low GI Diet, thinking I might get rid of this annoying last few lbs if I changed tack. This week I saw 157lb for the first time! Wehey! Usually I hit a low weight, then go up a bit, then stall, then come back down to it, so I wasn't expecting to see 157 again on the scales but there it was again, today.

Target's 155lb (11st 1). I'm already below my original target of 11st 7 (now 11 st 3) but I'm aiming for 11st 1. As I have been stuck around 162-164lb since January, it will have taken me longer to lsoe the last 10lbs than the whole diet previously took!

I'm not holding out much hope of hitting target any time soon. 2lb sounds like nothing but it's gone so slowly since Jan. But maybe this change of diet lark is working cos that 157lb I've had the past couple of days is my lowest yet.

My BMI has been stuck in the high 25s forever (wasn't Helen's, I seem to remember?) but is now 25.3 so let's see how long it takes me to get below 25.

Once I get to 155lbs, I'm going to just keep dieting for a bit and see if I can buy myself a couple more pounds so I get a bit of leeway as I vowed I'd never be overweight again, not even by 1lb.

When I was younger I had a sickeningly low BMI of 21, but now I think I will be lucky to hit the high 24s. I'm going to be really happy with it, though!

Good luck everyone! However long it takes - don't give up. I've come so close to jacking it all in since January but now, finally things are moving. Cross fingers so I don't jinx it!

By the way, once I change my ticker down to my current lowest weight, I don't change it back up again, if my weight creeps up by a lb or 2 - psychological! I just wait for it to drop again, then set my ticker at the newest low. Is that weird of me?

PS: Just re-read that and see I lost 5lb last week! Blimey! I am sticking with the low GI!

YP1 06-24-2006 08:31 AM

My BMI just felt like it was stuck in the 25s forever, but it probably wasn't that long, I was just so impatient! (speaking of which, it's now edging into the 22s :D ) I was shocked when I saw that actually, and it reinforced that I really don't need to lose anything for the first time in my life.

I do exactly the same with my ticker - I saw 155 two days in a row so that is my weight, even though today it was 156. As long as I'm within a 2 or 3 pound range I put it down to fluctuations and record my lowest weight. I tell myself if I don't hit that weight again for two weeks I'll move it to the lowest I have hit within that two week period, but I've never had to do that, so it works for me.

afrosarah 06-24-2006 10:41 AM

I weighted in at 15 1 this morning so total for the month is 9 lbs..
Gonna have to step it up a notch this month though, I want to lose a stone before i go on holiday on the 29th July... bikini...eek!;)

peacock 2 06-26-2006 04:27 AM

The wierdest thing. On Sunday I went in an Italian restaurant in Ealing and had a lunchtime special a creamy mushroom starter and a crispy pancake with vegs. It did not fill me up in fact it made no difference. I was quite surprised at this. (What a difference to Saturday when I had veggie sausages and mash in a pub in WIndsor and nearly had to roll myself out of there. Gorgeous and filling). Sad to say I visited Burger king and had some fries and onion rings. Why???? So bad.

Pachyderm 06-26-2006 04:46 AM

Well done PhatPhoenix and afrosarah :carrot: and YP1, as always impressive :D

Peacock, v bad :nono:, but very understandable, we've all done it!

I have lost no weight this week at all

Vix78 06-27-2006 07:58 AM

Last nights weigh in I lost 2lbs. Unfortunately the week before I had gained 4.5lbs.:o

veggie 06-27-2006 08:24 AM

Well done :cp: At least you went back Vix ;) I would of sulked and not gone back after gaining 4.5! In fact that's what I did after I'd lost 3.5 stone at sw. I went away for the weekend put on 4+ then stopped going and gained it all back!

Vix78 06-27-2006 08:27 AM

I knew the reason I had gained the 4.5 (weekend in Brussels with lots of beer!) so I didn't do what I normally would and blame the diet. Otherwise I think I may have given up!

lou1978 06-27-2006 03:07 PM

another 3lb off.. yay....

peacock 2 06-28-2006 02:24 AM

Congrats to Lou and Vix.

No congrats to me. I gained a whopping (wait for it!) 5 and a half pounds!!! Serves me right. I was eating for England!! I will have to buckle down now (sob!).

I did lose £10 though' I had lost my book (Slimming World) and had to buy a new one!!!

lou1978 06-28-2006 03:34 AM

veggie 06-28-2006 08:28 AM

Well done Lou :D

I think I'm heading for a gain as well... I haven't written anything down this week  :o I will do better next week. I haven't actually weighed yet but I fear the scales today.

lou1978 06-28-2006 11:45 AM

well veggie - verdict... ??

veggie 06-28-2006 07:33 PM

I put on 1.5. I don't care as I will lose next week (I will!) and I've lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks. I blame the world cup... and wine.

Lovely sw tasting evening I was next to a big pile of chocolate fingers! I stuck to fruit though. :chin:

Homersmummy 06-30-2006 06:59 PM

Just half a pound this week. But I am 3 and a half pound from 3 stone. :)

veggie 07-01-2006 09:39 AM

Yay! :cp:

PhatPhoenix 07-01-2006 10:52 AM

I've gained 2lb - but then my every-half-century period is due, sometime in the next fortnight so to be expected! Well done those of you who are losers!

Vix78 07-04-2006 05:48 AM

Well done Homersmummy.

And good luck to all those with a gian, let's hope next week is better.

Last night I lost 1lb at my weigh in. I only have 4 more weigh ins till I go on holiday and I have 11lbs that I want to lose by then. Not sure it'll happen as it's to get to goal weight, but I'm determined to shift as much as I can between now and then. Here's to a good week!

lou1978 07-04-2006 05:32 PM

only 1lb this week.... better than none!...

think im carrying a bit of extra fluid.. ive swelled up in the heat... does this ever stop... ???

peacock 2 07-05-2006 04:11 AM

veggie 07-05-2006 07:07 PM
