Confession is good for the soul

or so they say .....

So I'm confessing .... I went to a work conference yesterday, it was bacon rolls on arrival so I had 1 and then at break they had these bowls of mini Toffee Crisps mmmmmm so I had 1 and then 2 and before I knew if I'd eaten 6 of them mmmmmm tasty, then I polished of Haddock and Chips at lunch time, 2 hours later tea break came .... mini Toffee Crisps again, just 2 this time mmmmmm tasty.

I love mini Toffee Crisps      and I would also like to confess the Conference was the most tedious thing I've ever sat through, but the Toffee Crisps were nice.

Confesssion over!

Anyone else want to confess anything? ;)

micheleherts 04-22-2006 05:46 AM

Five Hail Marys and two Our fathers my child!!

Michele

I don't half fancy a toffee crisp now though

veggie 04-22-2006 10:01 AM

Mini toffee crisps? :T I haven't had a toffee crisp in decades.

Moo :) 04-22-2006 11:15 AM

Any one want one? I've just found 4 in my bag, they must have fallen out of the bowl into my bag yesterday  ooooops!

Yesterday as I was checking out at the grocery store, I reached in my purse for my wallet and found a cucumber! It did not look right! :o

impossible princess 04-22-2006 02:28 PM

hahah thats terrible.

I had battered mushrooms and sweet n sour sauce with chips.

sarahgrace 04-23-2006 08:04 AM

I had steak and ale pie and chips last night and 4 pints of beer  (but I did do an extra long long workout earlier on in the day to offset some of the damage:D )

Misti in Seattle 04-23-2006 09:35 AM

LOL I don't even know what a toffee crisp is but that's okay  I don't NEED one for sure!! I love toffee... I am having an English Toffee mocha coffee this morning (the mocha though is from dark chocolate powder I brew in with the grounds so no sugar and fat in it). :coffee:

Fortunately I don't have anything to "confess" to... I sure hope I can keep it that way after my cruise coming up next month LOL

2frustrated 04-24-2006 04:21 AM

Not much to confess here either, which is almost unheard of for me on a Monday morning! :D

I did eat a couple of pieces of clotted cream fudge yesterday though :T

pinklady 04-24-2006 12:26 PM

Ooohhh! I could just murder a toffee crisp or 4 now........
I've been doing well on cambridge, 16lbs gone in just over 2 weeks. But it is hard at times. Like today, I am SO hungry.
I've decided that I am having a break from it on Saturday as I ma going out for a meal and want to have what I want. I think it is justified!

I remember years ago when I worked in a department store. They had loads of selection packs over from Christmas and I had the job of taking all the sweets (including toffee crisp) out of the packs and seeling them individually!

I often bought some myself. Love em!

Ok if confession is good for the soul - I have had 3 Cadbury mini cakes to day. They seem very light but I bet they are full of calories. It has been one of those days at work and I am going to have to come in tomorrow and prob Monday as well so have bought a big bar of choc with 'crunchie' in it. I know I shouldn't due to weight and dentistry but too bad. Better than killing someone I think.

Personally I prefer a third option.

Homersmummy 04-29-2006 02:30 PM

The other day I had one of those Cadburys creme egg bars. And quite a few mini battenburgs. :( I felt so damn guilty after eating them. :(:( But it was nice at the time.

peacock 2 04-30-2006 06:49 AM

Mmm battenberg. Yummy. My poor brother always got one for his birthday cake as my mum always forgot to make him one! He didn't mind - he liked battenberg!

Sarah Ann 04-30-2006 08:05 AM

Yummmmm - I like battenburg as well - in fact I just love marzipan. The piggiest thing I think I ever did was to buy 6 of those chocolate coated flavoured marzipan slabs from Lidl - pick off all the chocolate which was disgusting - and eat the whole lot within an hour!

Yeah that's me... I love Marzipan. I used to buy blocks of it with my pocket money and make little animals etc out of them before munching the lot. I remember when Roses had Marzipan sweets in, my mum used to have to pick them all out before they were put out at christmas else I would literally eat the lot before dinner! Well, we did get up about 5am then, so I had plenty of time!:D

YP1 04-30-2006 02:07 PM

I LOVE marzipan - I always get loads of Spanish marzipan sweets for Christmas which I shouldn't eat... but do. And in Budapest last year I found a marzipan museum (complete with shop). Talk about temptation!

I'm not going to be able to get that thought out of my head tonight ;)

Sarah Ann 05-01-2006 03:31 AM

I've been thinking about marzipan ever since reading this thread yesterday... I wonder if there's a low fat/low carb version.... :(

Moo :) 05-01-2006 04:32 AM

Oh goody you're talking about something I don't like :D no marzipan cravings for me then :carrot: :carrot:

cherrycupcake 05-01-2006 04:40 AM

OK ....I confess too....I did so very well all week and then last night about 10 minutes before bed, I had 4 slices of toast with butter and marmalade..WHY?? Where is my willpower? I carefully counted everything all week and went to the gym 4 times! I am really mad with myself!!

peacock 2 05-02-2006 05:24 AM

All that talk of marzipan and I was queuing in Sansbury's right by the Thorntons chocoalte marzipan bar. NO! I did not - I bought a Galaxy ripple instead.... WHY???

helwa588 05-02-2006 05:46 AM

i had a pack of grape chewy candy last night

peacock 2 05-02-2006 06:02 AM

Lovely cat, Helwa!

Well, I am not even going to try now....The French guy came back from his homeland with more chocolate for me! 2 packs of Pimms (their jaffa cakes in raspberry flavour - yum!) , a set of 4 chocolate scarab beetles and a fake lily of the valley with a chocolate pot.

I laugh now when I see that book about French women don't get fat (yeah right!) that's cos French men feed the English ones!!!!!
