I wasn't actually born in Yorkshire but have lived near Leeds for the last 6 years and go to university in Bradford.

Looking for buddies to get me through my diet trials...have about 50lb to lose and no idea where to start.

Same here - I was brought up in London and only moved 'up North' about 7 years ago when my husband was re-located with his job and then within 2 months he got made redundant!

I was born in Warwickshire and moved up here 11 years ago. I went away for 4 years for uni and then moved back permanently just under 6 years ago. My dad is from Yorkshire though, they just moved away for a while while we were growing up so I have family round here.

2frustrated - I used to live just down the road from you at Swiss Cottage! :dizzy:

I went to see Arthur there (the Dudley Moore film).

I moved away about 23 years ago - it was quite a nice place to live then but I was renting and it was too expensive for me. I don't know what its like now. The only thing I really remember was that there was good selection of places to eat. (Major criteria in my life!)
