Just scanning the replies quickly, I don't think anyone's suggested doing to No Count method on Weight Watchers - that way you can eat a lot more as long as you stick to the foods on the list. I gather it's more like Slimming World, & I know my friends on SW seem to lose well despite eating large meals - huge plates of pasta or fried rice (cooked with spray, not oil). Maybe it would be worth looking into it? Personally I think that method looks great - for someone who's a bit more organised than me! I definitely plan to have the odd No Nount week further down the line though.

The old slimming world plan works very well for me only problem is I'm having more trouble with it this year as no microwave and no inclination to cook proper meals with 2 takeaways on the corner of my house.

But yeah you can pretty much stuff yourself on pasta until you're full. It might be worth giving slimming world a go.

Hi Artemis,

I've been doing GI since the beginning of the year, it is steady weight loss (so far), anywhere between 1-3lb.

I'm NEVER hungry. It does take more preparation and there are a lot of things you are def not allowed. However you have to see it as a long term diet, as with all diets, if you stop following it the weight will go back on. It will get easier as Tescos and Sains are apparently labelling up their food with GI but I haven't seen any of these yet!

I think it's a lot easier that WW as you don't need to think about points or calories particularly. It teaches you to control your portion sizes and eat the right food.

Good luck.
