New Years resolutions!!!

  • Well, here's for public accountability! I don't usually make New Years Resolutions but after 10 days of sheer indulgence I feel ready for a new start.

    Mine are:

    1) 5 portions of fruit and veg a day at least.
    2) To stick rigidly to my training plan for the Moonwalk in May so I can walk 26 miles without doing myself major damage.
    3) To manage my eating and drinking so that I lose at least 25lbs by May.
    4) To make more time to see my girl- friends and not end up doing too much couply stuff!

Happy New Year and here's to a healthier 2006.

  • 1. Stick to the diet lose some weight be happy and look fab
    2. Not to worry too much (not a good thing for me to get stressed I get alopecia and it isn't pretty)
    3. Make more time for friends and family
    4. Get my ideal job
    5. Pass my course with distinction - no pressure or anything lol
    6. Get a nice man and not be shy
    7. Spend less time procrastinating online.
  • Lose weight. Keep weight lost off. That is all.
  • Hi

I already quit my last cigarette, last one smoke New Years Eve morning!

Didn't manage to quit being a couch potato, food junky, red wine devotee and long term fatty!

    But the year is young!!!!
  • Well done Stef. I've been off them for 3 months now, first 2 months hard, but it gets easier.

Haven't really made any resolutions but I'd like to learn a new skill this year, don't know what yet
  • My new skill this year is Belly Dancing - what a scream???!!!!!!

I got "The Goddess" DVD - she was on Sex in the City apparently. And it is funny, well her skimpy clothes and constant chatter about opening up the Chakras are - I had no idea that a "chakra" was another work for "vertebrae"

But it is also very DOABLE!!!! It makes you feel good, works you out and is actually as calming as I had hoped that the Yoga and Pilates workouts would be - but weren't!
  • Wow! That sounds like great fun. Can you get the DVD from amazon? I've seen amazing belly dancers on holiday and they all looked fab (one was nerly 50 but looked like she was mid twenties)
  • Clareh I got mine from Amazon !

It is still in the machine, used most mornings. I even get sweaty!
