Walked approx. 2.5 miles today, up and down hill. Have been eaten alive by the midges, in the forrest, but it was fun.

Will need to dig out my pedometer and get measuring again

Walked for 55 minutes this evening. My husband went with me and we had a nice long talk so the time flew by. :)

Woo! Ran 10k this morning in 64 minutes. I've got my exercise ball in the garden with me, so plan to do some stuff on that this afternoon when I've recovered. I've also got wireless internet and sky tv in the garden, so I'm set for sitting out here all day if the weather holds :) Have to make the most of it having actually got round to mowing the lawn midweek!

1.47 miles 357 cals burned. ;) Walked up the hill to asda with spare change for coin star machine.

Lifted weights and went for a 45 minute walk this evening.

Nothing Monday (so sore!) and more weight lifting yesterday. Will go for a 45 minute walk this evening.

I didn't have a great session at the gym this morning, I had no energy. So I decided to cut my losses and go for a jog this evening. I feel far better now and have also managed to justify a very luxurious session in the bath later by getting nice and sweaty :)

I've been meaning to start running outside for a while, and did far better than I did last time I tried it - I even explored parts of the park I've never been to before (and ended up much further away from home than I was expecting at one point!)

veggie 07-20-2005 02:21 PM

I went the park with the dog...saw some kids trying to set fire to things...oh the joy of school holidays. ;)

I've been doing tons of cycling lately - the Tour de France has been inspiring me :ebike: !

Seriously saddle sore now, though! :tired: :tired: :tired: :tired: :tired:

As YP knows, (see 100 lb club) I have been given a brand new program at the gym, and it's horrendous. The cardio bit is evil, and the weights are really hard, most of them free weights, and I just have zero confidence. I went this morning and just threw myself in it. It hurt, it was hard, but boy I felt a sense of achievement having done it. And each time it will get a bit easier (until evil gym instructor boosts the weights again)

Well done on the jogging/running YP. Perhaps when I get up to speed we'll have to do meet up and do a run/jog somewhere interesting?

Oh that's where you all are the 100 club! :gossip:

Today - 1 hour swimming before work, 45 minutes yoga this evening. I've just ordered a pilates dvd and book off Amazon so that's the next thing to take up, it worked out cheaper than taking the class at the gym, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to commit to always making that throughout the course, so I thought doing it at home was the way to go.

kykaree 07-21-2005 05:21 PM

I've not tried yoga or pilates yet, and theres a thing called Yogalates, that interests me. No good at doing things at home though!

I did cardio at the gym today, and then swum, then went to the gym at lunch, only so I could watch the cricket!!!! C'mon Aussies!!!

Went out for the day yesterday with plans of walking a couple of miles around the forest, weather was so nice we didn't manage to leave the beach until just before the car park closed.

Have walked a couple of miles around the shops today, maybe not as fast as I would have liked, but better than sitting on the sofa.

Dippy Chip 07-22-2005 03:42 PM

More cycling yesterday (90 minutes - I'm a glutton for punishment) and a 70 minute walk today.

And I'm STILL on my plateau!
