Yay, tis Mothers Day in the UK ( America has it at strange time I think :p ). I am going to my sisters for a nice meal, she is making lunch for the family. :hun:

It's not celebrated over here until May sometime.... but I always tell my lot, that even though they can't get hold of a card with 'Mum' on, they can be nice to me all day, cos one I'm British and two, I'm a MUM :)

I rang my mum for mothers day, I forgot though, Australia has it in May as well...........oops. You'd think my mum would be grateful getting two special days!!! The cat forgot to get me a mother's day present :(

Hmph went to my sisters for meal but had to sit on a pouffe to eat as she hasn't enough chairs. I could barely reach the table! :mad: :lol:

Elder teenager declared that it was all commercialised, but both deigned to make me a card wishing me a 'special and cheerful day'. Had I been grumpy lately???? Made them wash the car :devil: and hubby did the washing up.

When I was there, I wanted so badly to get a card for my mother that said "Mum", lol. but when I went to the shops, there wasn't a card in sight. I had no idea that you celebrated early! These things should be universal, like Christmas :lol:

I hope all of you had a great day, and your kids were quiet as mice, and pampered you with breakfast in bed ;)

In England, it's Mothering Sunday which is always the fourth Sunday in Lent. It's not as commercial as it is over here when it's the first Sunday in May.
