any one on lighterlife?

ive been on this diet lighterlife for 2 weeks and i have lost just over a stone, i was just wondering if any one else out there is on lighterlife and how they're finding it. im finding it great as far as the fast loss, but im really missing my evening meal with my family. :( but im determined to stick with it for the full 100days :^:

How much is it? I couldn't find the price on the lighterlife website. Is it all replacement food? I wouldn't want to do that. Fast loss isn't always the best way I have found just goes back on quicker (for me). :)

I've never been on it but from what I'm told it is a meal replacement plan for those with more than 3 stone to lose. It costs £45 a week (including the meal replacement stuff) and you need a pemission slip form your doctor to do it.

I might have heard wrong though.

lighterlife is all food packs for 14 weeks and you lose min 3 stone in that time after that you go on to phase 2 if you need to lose more weight, thats the same as phase 1 ;) then management when you relearn how to eat, normal portion sizes this really is for folks like me that have a really bad relationship with food. im doing this as i see it as my last chance after trying to lose weight for 20 years and my problem just getting bigger. oh yeah you have to have at least 3 stone to lose or they wont let you join. it does cost £45 per week but i really spent way way more on food then £45.

Without the risk of sounding like a total killjoy, but if Lighterlife actually worked long term wouldn't GP's be prescribing it?

veggie 01-08-2005 08:48 AM

Well done bloo and nickybum :)

The nhs should prescribe then I could do it :D I need to move to an area where they prescribe slimming world then I could go for free.

:) Can anyone tell me are lighterlife products better than slimfast products? i have used slimfast before but got bored quickly. :(

salza 09-04-2005 09:59 AM

are you still using lighterlife? is it better than slimfast?

MelissaA 09-06-2005 07:20 AM

I am on Cambridge which is similar to LL I think the main difference is cd and LL is total meal replacement for a period of time, where as slimfast is two shakes and a meal...I have lost 11 pounds the first week on cambridge and am loving it...I think the very low calorie diet is not for everyone, but having done everything else I thought I would give it a go and I am so happy I did...

tinkerbellsmum 09-07-2005 05:20 AM

wd on all your weightlosses i really couldn't see my doc saying yes

MelissaA 09-10-2005 11:01 AM

Thanks, on cambridge unless you have a medical problem that would react badly with the diet you don't need your doctors permission...
