September Exercise.

Thought i'd start a new exercise thread :dunno: hopefully it will make me more accountable

First exercise since whenever  2mls on treadmill last night :cb:

i did about 4 miles running the line at a rugby match on saturday in the blistering heat i'll tell you if i hadn't had that burger and 4 pints of tetleys before i started it would have been much easier

cat90 09-08-2004 01:26 PM

 Poor Si ;) but good for you for doing it :D just think it would have been even worse if it had been guinness

I'm in the middle of doing some housework ~ does that count?

housework counts! The reason we're all so unfit is because we have labour saving devices that do all our housework! If we were housewives in the 50's we'd all be a lot healthier!

ps cool vacuum smiley!

I've set myself a September/Back to Skool walking challenge:

I will walk for 20 - 30 mins every day, either after I have dropped O at school or before I pick him up in the afternoon. I will do this on a minimum of 3 days out of 5 each week, and this will be in addition to my other exercise commitments (1 each of aquarobics, belly dancing, swimming) not instead of.

and my new-from-ebay pedometer just arrived so woo I'm off to try it out (once I work out how to work it :dizzy: )

Heavensbug 09-09-2004 08:15 AM

We bought one a while ago and are taking it to Vegas with us. I think we walk a good 7-10 miles a day. THis is where I find out it's just over 1!!!

I know I'll need my pedometer for fat nation :p but where is it? Has someone here stolen it from me?

clarrie 09-09-2004 08:30 AM

last time I saw it, it was right next to your 'puter :dizzy:

veggie 09-09-2004 08:35 AM

Ha that's right! :D I took a nice pic of it for absolutely no reason.

cat90 09-09-2004 02:39 PM

LOL @ Heavensbug.
Didn't get to curves this morning, but did spend half an hour on my hands and knees scrubbing a tile floor that had ingrained sand all over it, I was sweating like a trooper so I'm counting it as exercise, I also worked with Freddie Kruger this afternoon and that always knocks a few calories off wrestling! :)
WELL DONE Cathy {{{hugs}}}} I'm proud of ya!!!

cat90 09-09-2004 06:35 PM

 @ heavensbug..when i first scrolled down the page it was only showing the "smoking" bit and I thought you were getting stoned  :lol3: now I know what it really is :o so i'll say YES IT DOES COUNT!!!

Hey Chris, i'm sure Freddie kicked the S*it outta ya so you probably burned a lot today ;)
