I have just found out that a 15 year old diagnosis of extra large red blood cells means I could have an underactive thyroid!
This means that 15 years ago I could have had thyroid replacement therapy of some sort and not spent the whole of my married life overweight and periodically shattered!
I have made an appointment with my new GP and I will have a deep and meaningful conversation with her to find out if I can have the test and what I could do to counteract the effects if I do have this condition!
I am shattered by this news! For a number of years I have been faithfully telling clients that very very few people are diagnosed with this condition each year and that lifestyle changes to food and exercise are all most people need to improve their quality of life and appearance.
Oh irony if I turn out to be one of those very very few!!!
I'll let you know what happens!
Mind you there is an absolutely brilliant upside to this.
If I do have a thyroid problem and get synthoid or similar, imagine my kid sisters reaction when the weight starts to drop off me (assuming it does)?
