Confusion with Body Fat estimations
I've been working on losing weight.
I am weighing myself weekly with a shops public digital scales. Last week: Body fat estimation: Fat index = 57.7 % Fat Mass = 10st 1.6lbs Free F. Mass = st 6.0lbs Weight: 17st 7.6 lb Height: 5ft 5 This week: Body fat estimation: Fat index = 48.7% Fat Mass = 8st 7.4lbs Free F. Mass = 8st 13.4lbs Weight: 17st 7.2 lb Height: 5ft 5 Can someone please explain the difference between the Fat index/Mass/Free F. Mass? Why did some increase and some decrease, even though I'd lost weight? Thanks |
Because these scales aren't accurate. If you are more hydrated one time than another, it affects the result. Quit concentrating on the scale and concentrate on healthy eating and exercise.

+1 digitsl scales body composition analysis is never great. Scales are good for weight numbers but outside of that I wouldn't pay too much attention to what they say.
