Hello and yes I am still here and no I have not emigrated anywhere....
Sorry for the non posting recently, I hurt my back last week doing I don't know what and was in a real state, could hardly move...anyway something has done a load of good 'cos this week I got weighed on the usual Boots scales and this is what the last three weighs say on the printout sheet, so I can't cheat, (as if I would!)

30.10.03 11st 8
05.11.03 11st 8
12.11.03 11st 1.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I don't know what I did apart from drinking no fizzy diet coke and the fact that I had been stuck for so long, so now I am proud to announce I HAVE LOST 2 ST 2 LB!!! Yee haa!

I only hope that it is not a fluke weight. I don't see really how it can be wrong.....I just don't understand how on earth it can be right!!

Well done you super loser Teel Seven pounds is awesome to lose. You know someone told me that their WW leader told them to keep away from fizzy drinks, even diet ones as they have something to do with the bubbles that makes us retain something or other. prob fat cells or something. Really can't remember all she said, so maybe you being off it has done the trick?
Well done again and I hope your back is feeling much better now.

Hi ladies.......why don't we ever see any gentlemen on these pages? Are they all too shy?

Thank you all for your great comments. I really do think that a limit of 1 x 2l bottle of the carbonated stuff in one week did have an awful lot to do with the sudden dramatic weight loss.I know I could not believe my eyes!!!
Trouble is, what else to drink? Sometimes my brain just seems to cry out for a loooooooong fizzy drink to satisfy the thirst, and NO!! A cup of tea does not work!!!!!

Good luck and good planning to all for the week to come,

I may not be around for a few days as my friend's DH died of cancer Fri. 07:30hrs.He was of course a great friend of mine. It seems very silly that you only cry when remembering the daft things, like C. was the only person to ever call my West Highland White Terrier, Snowball.I always said she was a very dirty snowball that was really a ball of mucky slushy colour. Her real name is Holly.

Bye for now. Be good!!!

Hey Teel, sorry to hear about the bad news

I once read that Richard Simmons lost about 14-16lbs alone by just giving up fizzy drinks i rarely drink the stuff myself (only beer ) but while i was home this time around my daughter stopped at a shop to get Olivia a drink and came out with a diet Vimto and it was really good ever tried cordial? if you really need something in that water!
