Angry New start

Hi I am 51 years old
I am starting today I weigh 21st 8lbs.
I have a lot of health problems including diabetes T2 and high blood pressure.
I have put on so much weight
The thing that upsets me the most is I was at goal 11years ago ( went from 19st12 to 10stone )
I am going to do this slowly and I am setting a higher goal thinking of about 12stone
I am going to do this a pound at a time

Good on you. I have also lost weight and then regained. You have the knowledge of how to get your weight back down again and the support of the lovely women and men on this site! You can do it.

Slow is the good way! Small steps, add up into miles!

A pound at a time is best. Every pound is better off than on, no matter how long it takes to lose it - advice I need to remember myself at times.

Good for you!

I hope it goes well for you and that you have success with your weight loss. I am also sorry to hear about your health problems. My hubby is obese with a high blood pressure but I am the other way around and have a super low blood pressure.

I am currently at 12st13 and its my target to be a size 12 for when beach season starts here in Portugal in mid june. So need to lose about 2.5 stone between now and then to make it happen.

A pound at a time is also a great target because it adds up and is then harder to put it back on. I find if you want to lose weight slowly what works for me is just eating less and replacing oils/butter with natural yoghurt and ditching sweets and chocolate for dark chocolate. Then it will be no effort at all.

Best of luck
