New to the board ... and this time .....
Hi, my name is Jessica, I'm 34 and live in London with DH (who is 38) and DD (who is 14 months)... I've been dieting all my life and have decided that I'm not entering my 35th year (25/11) without feeling happy about my weight ...
I weigh 13 stone (83 kg) and am 5.7 (170cm) and even though I carry the weight well I have gone from a slim size 14 to a big size 16 since my wedding 2 1/2 years ago... yes, I have been pregnant inbetween and weighed in at 97kg when DD came ... so I have managed to lose some but my ideal weight would be 11.5 stone (73 kg) ....:) I do quite a lot of walking as I walk DD to nursery every day (approx. 40 minutes brisk walk) but my downfall is chocolate (so there is no more of that) and take away's (to tired at the end of the day and no imagination) .. so take away's are down to 1 every 2 weeks ... I do love my wine so will continue to drink that without thinking about calories (about 1 bottle a week).:dizzy: So hopefully I will be able to get some support from this board and also be able to give some .. Hi Jessica
I'm a chocoholic too  but i've not been doing to badly recently at cutting back on it ;) i'm going back to England next week and the last time i was there i was hooked on Mars bars ice creams :T hopefully i'll be able to maintain while i'm there and if i don't i'll just have to get back on the wagon when i get home ;) The girls here are really nice and i'm sure you'll find lots of support :D At least your choice of beverage is more diet friendly than mine...Beer!! Are you following a plan? or just cutting back on things? I've been (unsuccessfully  ) calorie counting and my weight is stuck at 158lbs/11st 4lbs and i'm only 5' 3" so i need to lose at least a couple of stones. I am currently really lazy and have not been exercising..we are having a fabulous summer and i've just been sitting in the sun for the past couple of weeks..i did walk a mile on my treadmill yesterday but thats all..i need to start moving again! Good Luck with your plan. |
Ah Cat90 coming to UK eh? Where will you be staying? (you'll stock up on a few goodies I expect while you are here!
Is it true that Heinz baked beans are only sold in Brit shops abroad in USA and Canada? Are they not sold in the "normal " shops there? Are they so very different to other brands there? |
Peacock,
I usually stock up on TCP and Anne French cleansing milk  thats all..don't bother with foodstuffs although last time i did bring a few large bars of Cadburys chocolate home with me because it is so cheap over there. We can get Heinz baked beans anywhere in Canada but they are made here and do not look or taste the same :p i don't know what they put in them that makes them taste different because i don't have a can in the cupboard but i just looked at a generic brand and they put onion and garlic powder and spices in their's. |
Hi Jessica!! Nice to have you around :D Look forward to chatting and LOOSING with you! :D
