Totally agree with the OP about small goals. That's what I've done all along the way and it's really helped to make it less scary too - looking at what I needed to lose as a whole was just too daunting.
Also agree with Emsie. it's hard not to get disheartened when you have a bad week, but I always remind myself how much I've already achieved, how much better I feel both physically and mentally and then just draw a line and carry on. |
Oh and hello Violet73 - *waves* - doesn't matter that you posted on the UK board - we're all doing the same thing! :)

Well I met my first short term goal - stick to it for 2 weeks :D
In the next two weeks I have another - go to the gym 6 times. We'll see. Slightly bigger goal: Onederland in 6 weeks - that's, erm, March 30th, 199lbs (14st 4lbs) @2lbs per week. Give or take a week or two, I'm not that stuck on the date, just in getting there! Good luck to all ! |
hello to everyone...
I am not from UK but I like it here... Is it ok for me to post? I think that setting small goals will help me too. I can't wait to put a ticker on my posts and watch my progress. My first small goal is to have a tremendous change on my hair as soon as I will hit 180 pounds... |
:welcome2: Anastasia.
Of course you can post here, we even have some American cousins posting. |
