Clothes

Ok, this is probably going sound really weird but does anyone worry about slimming out of their clothes. I think this maybe the reason I can't fully commit to losing weight, I have some clothes at this size that I really love, most of them aren't replaceable and I cant afford to replace the ones that are. Although my mum has said she will buy me a whole new wardrobe if I get back to 9 stone, I just really don't want to lose out on some of my favourite clothes. Can anyone help?

ask her if she can spend some of your new wardrobe money on tailoring. I think that it can become your best friend, & save your best clothes!:smug:

A really nice wide belt can work wonders on a sweater, shirt or dress that's gotten too big. You can get all sorts of funky buckles, different colours, or your standard classy black leather. For items like an expensive dress or a good coat, going to a tailor to have the item taken in could definitely worth it.

No I can't, they are not basics they are specific things, like a dress that's a really nice shape with a really unique and unusual pattern that isn't available any more. Surely you realise that shops don't keep certain items for more than few months then they launch a new season, new items and the previous things are sold off cheap and never seen again.

Can you have them tailored? My sister has clothes tailored all the time :)

Is that expensive? I dunno if it would spoil the shape and pattern of the dress.

If you're worried about cost then find somebody who can sew and ask them to do it, alternatively you can learn yourself. It's actually a lot easier to take in clothes without ruining them than you think. I do it all the time because I have quite large breasts on a small frame (32 DD) so certain clothes look really awkward unless I adjust them in some places.
