Default new chick

hello, i'm not exactly in the uk (ireland) but thought i could sneak in here too. Current weight 15st 12lb (lost 4lbs last week.. can't wait to start my ticker so i can visualize it properly!) i would love to get to 10st 2lb thats a round 6 stone ( ha! i say that like its easy!!) this is what i weighed at my slimmest 10 years ago but would really love to see 9st anything on the scales. 9st 7lb pounds is an even 90lbs so i think i'll stick to this and maybe go for 10st 2lb as a mile stone. i've set myself a few mini goals to get me started weightwatchers use 5% and 10% goals so i'll start there. fat chick to 'skinniminni'! here goes ......

Hello Skinni, I am trying to get back to nine stone 4lbs, but 10 stone would be brilliant at the moment.

Everyone here is supportive and it's a great place to chat to people who have the same problems.

Good luck

Michele

thanks michele, i hope i'm not aiming too high but whats that old saying shoot for the stars! i've been overweight for a long time now and i'm a mum too, so i have stretched etc over the years i'm just hoping my skin will shrink back if/ when i lose the weight. its amazing how the weight creeps up, few pounds, then a stone, 2 stone, then you just say feck it i'm already fat...... not anymore i'm a new me now, there are so many people on here who have been the same or around the same weight as me and have lost what i want to lose, now i know its possible. i'm taking inspiration from you and people like you on here, you have done fantastic on your weight loss journey well done

Hi! Skinniminni

Welcome to Slim Land.

Since January, on a Low Carb plan, I lost 29 then nothing happened for weeks (not happy) and then I decided to start the South Beach plan In Mar. as it seemed to be the healthiest for me and I lost 6 pounds half-way through Phase 1.... the miracle, I not always hungry! (example: at 14.30 today, I realised that I needed some lunch, only eggs at 9am) For me, battling hunger is half the battle.

What has helped me lose the 29 was tangible things - skinny photo of me (or someone else) and clothes. I had my size 14 cropped jeans sitting there waiting for me to wear them for months, I am wearing them today.

Go for it! You will be so glad you did!

PS when you work out how to do a ticker, can you let me know - thanks!
