Best place to buy basic exercise 'stuff' in the UK?

Hi all,

I've been living in Thailand for the last few years, but am returning to the UK in 5 weeks.

I really need/want to have a decent pair of weighing scales, some dumbbells, an exercise mat and ball waiting for me when I get home.

I've had a look on argos, but before I buy, I'd love info on any other online places or places with home delivery that are worth checking out.

Thanks very much :)

you should have a look on amazon, they are usually cheaper than argos. oh and erm, go tulips lol :)

Try ebay if you dont mind 2nd hand things and the boot fair session is coming up always good for a cheap exercise bike

Thanks for the suggestions :)

MissSMcC I'll defo take a look on Amazon, I'm always forgetting they do more than books n DVDs! In fact, could even have a look at their workout DVDs while I'm on there, getting bored of mine! Can't wait for the first weigh ins to see who takes the first blow in the challenge! Giving me so much motivation to stay OP, brilliant!

Marie81 I'd love to check out ebay, no issues with second hand stuff. BUT, I once had an ebay account when I was younger n ended up living on tehre bidding all the time, so had to shut my account and don't think I dare go back lol Great suggestion about car boots, I'll get the necessities in for when I get home, but it would be brilliant to find a bike/stepper to keep in the spare room at home. I've gotta keep this exercise up when I get back, anything to help!

How I wish it were that quick and easy! If walking and a proper diet would find me fit and smart within a month, there'd be no obese/overweight people in the world!
