I hope this isn't seen as advertising!
I have long had a BIG objection to Barbie et al, I think that they give out an impossible image to young girls as to what women should look like and in the long term have a vast effect on their self esteem/image which in part leads to eating disorders (including compulsive overeating/bingeating)

I found this link on another site and I couldn't help asking why all 'fashion' dolls aren't made like this.
What do you think?

I remember reading about Emme in (now sadly defunct) Mode magazine. She looked great. The doll is much better than Barbie. By the way did anyone hear about the Aussie equivalent of Barbie? Feral Cheryl! Complete with spiky hair and pubic hair!! Really gross but what a difference!

I'm not sure about this one! reminds me of the dippy "Ya" students that live round here, all dreads and dope, soon to become middle class house wives after they've wasted a whole lot of mummy and daddy's cash at Uni.....

Still, there are lots of good "eco" links on this website....there's hope for the great unwashed yet!
