MelissaA...
hya,
In answer to your questions about PCOS'ers in the UK...i thought i would make an extra post so that you would see it ;) I was diagnosed with PCOS in june and have just moved to nottingham and therefor are trying to register with a new doctor...my doc that did the diagnosis said to me to stay on my pill and loose weight...that was the only advice she gave me!! I have done a lot of research about glucose and PCOS and believe that i have IR/GI and WANT to be tested, i feel that its important...i have some info that i can email you if you like :) My advice is talk to the doctor and TELL them that you want to discuss other options in your treatment, i think many UK doctors push PCOS aside and dont realise!! I plan on finding a new doc and taking the info with me and telling that i want to be testsed and i want some help :) Good luck and let me know if i can help or if you want that info :) |
thanks sooooooooo much for replying...I would love to see the information you have, my email is [email protected]
I am seeing my gp again this week I plan to discuss the other options...I felt really discouraged after my last visit and didn't speak up as I should have... Thank You You Rule! |
:)
No problem, i will try and get that done today  Good luck with the doctor...unfortunatly we have to push our doctors to do anything to do with PCOS...thats what i have found :dizzy: Take care |
