Paul McKenna update.

I started this 3 weeks ago and have lost 6lbs so far. I may even have lost more but you are only supposed to weigh yourself once a fortnight. I have not cleaned my plate at every meal AND today while having roast beef at my mums, I had to give back a whole roast spud and a wee yorkshire pudding!

That really is amazing. I don't think I'd ever give up a yorkshire pudding....(unless I'd already had like, 5 of them!) :D

Paul M has 4 golden rules. Only eat when you are hungry and he means physically hungry and not when you are bored, upset etc. Eat consciously, i.e not in front of the TV, computer, a book and chew every mouthful at least 20 times. Between mouthfuls put your cutlery down or whatever is in your hands. Eat what you like to eat not what you think you should. He actually advocates chucking out all your low fat food unless you really like it. Lastly, stop eating when you think you are full and that is comfortably full and not stuffed.
I have found the hardest bits is not eating cos i am bored and stooping when full as I definitely belonged to the clean plate brigade!
If you need any more tips then just ask. Good luck.

I tried that aswell a few years back. Although I didn't stick to it, I must admit lol. But I did take alot from it. Like what you said, only eating when your hungry, and stopping when you are really full. Also, he says to chew your food properly and slowly so you can taste it, honestly that really works. Because once you actually taste fast food- it tastes pretty rank. And veggies and proteins like salmon taste fresh and delish. Thats what I took from it. And it stuck in my mind alot, so I implemented similar ideas into my diet this year...and it's working. I have been eating less, and enjoying more healthier, homemade foods.

I don't know what I weigh since I started in Jan, I don't bother lol. I just know my clothes are getting looser. But I do calorie count and workout aswell. I'm losing slowly, just like I planned as I want to try and prevent sagging *sigh* if I can.

I would recommend the Paul Mckenna even if you don't follow it strictly like me, you can learn alot about your own eating habits.
