Addictions

Is anyone else addicted a a certain type of food. Me I can see chocolate and leave it, same with desserts and cakes. But put a bit of cheese on the table or even in the fridge and it calls my name all night.

If you do fight with a type of food, how do you get beyond the "I want it and I want it now stage". I did all right with it for a while, but have slipped right back

I'm just being nosy but all advice appreciated.

I am having trouble today staying away from the peanut butter. I actuall had three slices of bread with 2 tablespoons on for my lunch today, cost me 9 points!!!:nono:
I don't like cheese so I'm ok there Carol, it could call my name all it likes and I wouldn't bat an eye. Chocolate however is a whole different matter, especially if it's Cadburys. I think that might be because it's a rationed item over here though (as in they don't have it here)...so when some kindly soul  sends me a care package :gift: I gorge, and I didn't use to do that when we lived at home.
I don't know what it is with the peanut butter at the moment though, someone mentioned it last week at work and I've been on an urge ever since.:hypno: :yikes: :cbg:

Ice cream should be on the list. I like almost any type, from the cheapest to the most expensive.

There's some M&S count on us chocolate honeycomb ice cream in the freezer at the moment. It's calling me, but I will be strong!

I'm a self-confessed chocoholic! :)

My friend said that she stood waiting to buy something at the tobacco counter & just told herself that she really didn't want any of that horrible brown greasy fat in a pretty wrapper, & it worked! I'm not sure I could be quite so good!

I must admit, though - addiction would be too strong a word, but I would really love to have a good drinking session! I seem to have spent far too much of the last 4 years either pregnant or breastfeeding! When I stop feeding my son, I intend to enjoy myself!! :dizzy:

I have to admit with me it is savoury food, cheese in particular. I wrap it in foil when I put it in the fridge, that way I don't actually see it - but sometimes the urge is just too much

TQ, I can totally agree with what you are saying - I have always been pleased I don't do drugs or smoke as I have enough problems dealing with everything else:devil:

I am doing better this time. I find the only way I can avoid bingeing on chocolate (or crisps, or crusty bread etc) is to not eat ANY so I don't get that taste. I know I will have to eat these things again one day but the longer I can avoid them for, the better!
