Hi I'm New

  • Well I guess you will have read this a thousand times before but here goes.
I have been dieting all my life, well that's how it feels anyway. I have tried all the diets out there but I am still fat.
Last year I went on xenicol and lost 4 stone, it was hard going, by that I mean the oil problem but I stuck to it UNTIL I had problems with my disabled 4 yr old and then I just stopped and yep I put all the weight back on and a little bit more.
I have had an incisional hernia since I had my son by c section and it has been getting worse, the hospital refuse to operate because I am so over weight.
Anyway I went to the docs to see if they could help me with pain and I broke down in the docs room. I ended up telling her how unwell and unfit I was and that I was going to look into gastric bypass. The doc said she would look into it on the NHS as my hernia needed fixing asap.
I go back to docs tomorrow and hopefully she will have heard from the hosptial, Please keep your fingers crossed for me as I am desperate to get rid of this weight once and for all.

    Debbie
  • hiya, im sorry that you are going through so much.
its not easy when the weight simply wont go, although im not huge, im not comfortable with my weight which means i can understand.
I think that you should stay calm as much as you can until you know what the docs say. Its going to be a life changing thing.
when you feel ready, send us a message. its hard work losing weight, it involves dedication and attention and the only reason that i can do this is cus i dont have kids and i dont have an awful lot else in my life to takeover....but honestly i feel for you, its hard...
  • Well I went to the docs and they still haven't heard from the surgeon so hopefully any day now, in the meantime I am off work with my hernia which is great as I was really struggling.
