I am so happy to have found this thread! I have not been back here to post for a while now and I must confess my eating has gotten way out of hand. I have not fired up my wii fit in a while and was looking at the ea fitness wondering if it was any good, after some of the mixed reviews I read about the Jillian Micheals "game" I was hesitant. For those that have used the EA fitness, do you like it? does it give a decent workout?

I have'nt got EA Fitness yet looked at it in Walmart then put it back!! I can't justify spending around $75 on another game just yet as I have'nt really done much with the ones i've got I like the advanced step especially when the other mii's turn around to look at you I swear those little buggers are scowling at me!! but i'm doing better all the time so them! I like the penguin game too i'm quite a cute penguin I'm sure my fitness coach will give me **** when I next use it as i've only tried it once so i'd better think about doing that some time over the weekend. Trouble is its beautiful and I don't want to do anything

I have the EA Active and love love love it!!!! It really is like having a personal trainer in your house almost. Also, if you don't want to spend the money right now, trade in some old games at Game Stop instead and then it's almost like it's free!

Thought my fitness coach would give me S*** for not doing it but she just says 'this is your second workout' i've subscribed to the 'run' challenge too but i'll be walking

We have the Wii Fit, I love the balance games on it and some of the aerobic, especially the boxing, do love to do that one. As for the yoga and muscle exercises, well I have not done them yet as do resistance training and cardio anyway three times a week, not saying I won't try them though.

Hi Everyone!
I am new to the board.
I have had the Wii Fit since its release but never used much.
Since I got back from 3 months travelling in the Indian Ocean where I managed to put on almost 2 stone I am determined to lose the weight.
So instead of paying for a gym membership which I know is just a waste of money as I hate going .. I decided to invest my money on some Wii games.
I have bought the Jillian Boot Camp, My fitness Coach and the AE Active Sports.
I have to say that from the 3 above the only one that really caught my interest was the EA Sports. I am on my 7th day of the 30 day challenge. I find that I dont get bored and that I actually break a sweat. However I keep wondering if it will really make me fit? I think that because I am having so much fun with it that it wont do me any good. Does it make sense?
Regarding the other 2 games:
Jillian boot Camp - I feel cheated. Not really a good work out. I will probably trade for a different game.
My fitness Coach - Only done it once... but I kind of feel bored after a couple of minutes. I think it is more of a fitness DVD than a fitness game. Does anyone else feel like this? I have heard so many good reviews but I still do not see the fun in it?
Apart from it I occasionally use the Wii fit and wii sports, however I tend to use these more when I have friends around for a good laugh.
Anyone else have any views?
Thanks

hi,I had ea sports fitness....and i must be honest here...its a complete cop out.
its nothing like real exercise at all, i was kidding myself into thinking i was actually doing well when really i was standing in front of my tv doing half arsed squats and running on the spot.
its the same with the cheap in house exercise equiptment, i had a skiing type cross trainer that said that i had burnt like 500 cals in half an hour, i hadnt even started to sweat!!
i honestly believe i know how hard it is from first hand experience but real honest exercise is the only way forward. the games and dvds are back up perhaps on the days that you're not at the gym but cant be used for full on serious exercise.
i had to go to an all male environment (armed forces gym) with big sweaty blokes and the women who were mega toned etc...and i just took my head phones a massive bottle of water and just got on with it watched eastenders, some bargain hunt programme on the screen and did about 40 mins at a steady pace...only now am i seeing result..nearly 2 months on....its hard but it works...honestly

I bought the Wii Fit a year ago and did the balance games a few times and then it sat for literally a whole year until a few months ago. Now I am doing everything on it and use it almost every day. I love the advanced step where I can turn on cartoons or something for DD and still get something accomplished. I actually had to make a platform for the balance board though, because otherwise I felt I wasn't really getting a workout. I did the plank challenge the other day and the next day I could really feel my shoulders burning, so good to know I am actually using real muscles!
The funny thing is I HATE running, really really hate it. Even when I was skinny I didn't like running....it was soooo boring. I would run my ars off playing sports, but just running for the sake of running was annoying to me. Needless to say, as soon as high school P.E. was over and I wasn't forced to run.....I didn't. I have been forcing myself to run using the Wii though, which even though it was just running in place was a huge step for me. I started out with the small 5 min, and then started doing the island lap, and the other day did the 20 min advanced. It wasn't that hard, so yesterday at the park, I decided to run a lap around the track for the fun of it to see if I could. It was a breeze! I did have to stop a few times so DD could keep up, but I would just jog in place. Anyways, surprised me that I could do it and now I am more motivated because of the Wii!

EA Sports.
I had EA Sports recommended to me by a fitness trainer as something that I could do at home, to ease me into weight lifting and stuff. And I love it! Five weeks in and I am still using it at least two-three times a week! I liked the Wii Fit but hated the wait in between workouts. With the EA Sports, I can do a hard workout, break a sweat, and tone my arms and legs right up. I can tell a HUGE difference!

OK, OK, I'll order it now!
I got bored of the WiiFit very quickly and am looking for something else. I have waited for the price to come down.......
.... so now I can buy it for myself as a birthday pressie - no guilt trip there then!

I've got the Wii Active, still in its box.
Promise: if I get the house tidy I'll get it out of the box on Monday night! Hopefully I'll like it enough to stick with it!
I've got the Boxing game, Don King's summink or other, and love that, but haven't had time recently as college is back in and I've had new students to get registered and settled in.
NOW it's time for me, me, me!!!
Fingers crossed x
