I have horrible skin myself and I still get spots, well into my twenties. I've increased my water intake since I've been exercising, and this seemed to help, but water can only go so far...I use Proactiv myself. I'm not sure if it's available for shipment to the UK, but the link to it is www.proactiv.com
I've used this product for several years and it's the only think I've found that keeps the spots at bay. I hope you find something that works for you - acne can be so embarrassing :o |
I had the worst acne as a teen, my face was completely covered. It got a little better as the twenties hit but not much. I had hospital treatment for them and that helped but some still remained. When I was at my top weight it had gotten pretty bad again but once I started eating healthily and drinking enough fluid my face completely cleared up. If I eat badly now my face the next day is full of spots but if I eat well its all good. One major incentive.
I am not sure why yours is not getting better but it sounds like a hormonal problem. The savlon will only work for a while, you'll soon become resistant to it. Sudocream is another similar option and germolene too when they dont work. Good luck, might be worth a trip to the drs. |
I have skin that's oily but also dry and flaky, my nose peels like I have sunburn if I don't moisturise but if I do moisturise I look too greasy so what I usually do is moisturise and then rinse my face with plain water after about an hour. I also find that my spots get worse if my skin gets too dry
I like the Avon Clearskin range, especially the scrub, although it might not be so good for very sensitive skin. |
That excellent, I will look that up, many thanks
