I have been in fits about the uniform. I think I could take it but for those SHOES. Although if any of you are not very tall, those tassells may look like tails. Is that why the uniforms have to have high high heels?
Can I make a suggestion please - can you wear the uniform to and from Blackpool instead of at Blackpool?
Anyway it sounds like great fun and I wish you all the best for your trip. Don't think the lights in Blackpool will hold a candle to you lot in those uniforms

i think november date is maybe for the best as there are very few hotels willing to let you book for one night when its still season

I wish I could come but I checked the train company websites and it would cost me a minimum of £142 plus 3 changes to get from North Devon to Blackpool. I'm sure you will all have a great time and I want lots of pictures posted on here!

www.thetrainline.com you have to register to get how much it costs sometimes on these web sites they come up with stupid routes though so if its a lot of money its probably wrong hopefully!

That was a nasty shock! It takes over four hours to get from here to Blackpool by train and it costs nearly £50 return!

I might see if I can get Kevin to bring me and then go spend the night with his Mum... or hitchhike!

Oh god! A lot of places you can get cheap coach tickets but probably only when the lights are on!

(Excuse me... I'm still reeling from the shock!) I'll work out something... Kevin's Mum lives in Wigan so perhaps Kevin could drive me over to Blackpool and then I stay with you lot and could stay overnight with his Mum and pick me up the next day.

I will have to approach him very carefully... I just spent a most of his overtime money for this month.....

From what Kevin's Mum says, the accommodation is relatively cheap, its the train fares which are a bit of a shock.

You'd be surprised! I won't buy my plane ticket until this fall, using the Autumn specials or more likely, unsold inventory. I've found round trip to London for $200 at times. And I plan to stay in a convent most of my stay, which is extremely cheap. I also will be staying with a friend part of the time. One thing I learned from my year there is how to do it cheaply :)


Btw, if anyone has an eligible brother, uncle, postman, etc, bring him along :p When inviting him, slip in subliminal suggestions such as "mail order bride" "green card" and "fat chicks are hot"
