Since I'm mainly a pedestrian I really don't like bikes on pavements; I've also noticed that some cyclists who do use the roads seem to think that traffic lights etc don't apply to them - I've been run over twice crossing at a green man by cyclists who've just sailed through the red lights and hit me. There are few things more embarassing than being run over by a bike :o There should be many more proper cycle lanes, so cyclists don't have to go on the roads but won't frighten/hurt/embarass decent, law-abiding pedestrians either :)
