newbie intro
 

hi, my name is mel and i am mum to 2 kids aged 13 and 3, also i am married have been now for 13yrs to my wonderful husband. I am a diabetic struggling to lose weight, i am 31yrs old and would like to watch my kids grow up, if i carry on the way i am i may not do that. My problem is i overeat alot when bored, depressed, lonely. I also would like to feel good about myself as i have low self esteem which shows alot, yesterday was funny i got a new swimsiut and thought oh my god what a fat blob when i tried it on. Well i hope i have not scared anyone away so they do not talk to me on this website.

Heya mel..although I'm not married with kids I can relate quite alot, I have major self confidence issues and diabetes too. Welcome to the uk thread...good luck losing the weight, nice to meet ya :hug:

Morning. welcome. i'm not married or no kids thankfully, (shouldn't say that she is on this board i'll get caught out). good to see your making changes. my mother is a type 2 diabetic who's just moved to insulin and itsa pain in the arse so i have every sympathy for you, i know how i makes life very difficult

Hi Mel and welcome! I know the self esteem problems, I've stopped going into certin shops because I feel like the biggest there and ppl are staring. You've come to the right place and your not alone

I hope that today is the start of a new me through diet and gaining confidence to think and feel good about myself, it may take some time but i am going to do it now not just for me but for my wonderful husband and kids whom i love more than anything else in this world.:)
