health issues

since ive been loosing weight and exercising more....
i have noticed some increase in my health problems....
i suffer from regular bowts of constipation, i think caused by my irritable bowel....
migranes are another factor....
had a few of these in recent weeks....
feeling sick....
im not sure if this is due to a 'full' stomach due to the constipation....
the other night i drunk some hot blackcurant n was sick all nite long....

i know its random, but does anyone else notice an increase in health problems within themselves....

Migraine triggers:

Foods. Certain foods appear to trigger headaches in some people. Common offenders include alcohol, especially beer and red wine; aged cheeses; chocolate; fermented, pickled or marinated foods; aspartame; overuse of caffeine; monosodium glutamate — a key ingredient in some Asian foods; certain seasonings; and many canned and processed foods. Skipping meals or fasting also can trigger migraines.

Physical factors. Intense physical exertion, including sexual activity, may provoke migraines.

Changes in the environment. A change of weather, season, altitude level, barometric pressure or time zone can prompt a migraine.

i eat cereals in morning....
piece of fruit at 10....
piece of fruit at 1....
exercise at 4 for an hour....
have evening meal (salad, sandwhich, shepp pie) at half 5....
occasional home made cake....
crisps once every 2 weeks....
no alcohol at all....

Are you drinking enough water to help with the constipation?

I think water is everything when eating healthily.

PrettyPaula 05-15-2008 01:19 PM

wheres your lunch?

sh3l5 05-15-2008 01:23 PM

i drink almost 3 litres water a day....
the fruits me split lunch....

PrettyPaula 05-15-2008 01:33 PM

2 pieces of fruit is not enough food Loo...

my migraines are triggerred by 1 of two things

not wearing my glasses
not eating enough at regular intervals, causing blood sugar drops

i would seriously eat some more... you cant be eating 1000 cals a day surely let alone 15-1800

I have several health issues, including fibromyalgia and IBS. I've noticed that I have increased symptoms whenever I make or experience drastic changes to my routine. Whether that be a change in diet, activity level, sleep quality or quantity and (completely out of my control) weather.

Trying to make changes gradually rather than suddenly helps, but I think sometimes it's just a trade-off I have to live with.

Yep, im with paula here. Also my migraine is brought on by lights, or not wearing my glasses. Its easy us all sitting here trying to help but we dont know enough about you or your lifestyle if its bothering you so much id really just reccomend seeing your GP.

I got migraines my whole life, but when when I first started working out and dieting they increased too. I went to my doctor and found out I wasn't drinking enough water or eating enough fruit and veg. I know you say you drink 3 litres of water daily. I've also heard when you change your diet it takes a bit for your body to adjust to it. I would take everything you are doing and your concerns to your doctor, if you have a good rapport he or she can really help you feel better. Good luck!

Hello
I get the worst migranes from being tense and squinting my eyes. Recently I was feeling run down and went to my gp, she did some bloods and as it turns out I had a vit B12 shortage that can cause all sorts of problems but there is no harm getting a check up. Maybe you have exhaused yourself and you need a break? either way I hope you feel better soon

Jella
