Robsia, would you post information from the package (amounts of ingredients and so on)? I am curious.

I ordered the six day trial today, so I am hoping it might show up Monday or Tuesday. I am interested in trying it too. Though I am having success with Weight Watchers, I am nearing goal and it is getting more and more difficult to lose those last few pounds! For only £1.95 shipping, I figure it might be worth it to try a six day boost though I don't intend to actually purchase it. I would rather struggle for the next few months than spend £35.95/month on some patches!

Day 6 of no pink patch

Weight - 157.8

4pm - I always feel so jazzed when I've lost weight. It makes the whole thing so much easier. Had weetabix and milk this morning and a big mug of coffee. manager to go with no snack this mornng. Te evening meal we always have on Saturdays is quite calorific so I have to try to be good in the day as there is very little left over for snacks.

We went out and had a picnic lunch on the prom, which is good as I pack everything in advance and I can't nibble more stuff as I'm not at home. Plus the walk makes it even better. So ham sandwiches and 100g grapes for lunch. And a coffee when we got home. We came home sooner than we planned as dd fell in the sea! There were some big rocks that ran down the beach perpendicular to the sea and she had been climbing on them. But the sea was coming in fast and was starting to come in round the rocks. So as I was packing up our stuff I called her to come back as she might fall in.

Well, almost the next second, she did just that!! So I had to wrap the big towel round her and she had to walk home wet. Luckily she had taken her shoes and socks off so she had dry shoes and socks.

5pm - ok, I caved and had a mini milk. But they're only 30 cals. And i don't get tea till gone 6 on Saturdays.

9.30pm - friend came round unexpectedly this evening so I didn't have any snacks at all. So once she'd gone, I figured out what cals I had left and I had two breakfast bars and a nice big cup of coffee.

Total cals today - 1402

There isn't any information like that on the package. Sorry.

What? No breakdown of amounts of ingredients? That is illegal in the US. I guess it is different in the UK.

Robsia 05-10-2008 05:18 PM

Well, it's not like it's a medicine or a pill. I don't know what the rules are for patches. Anyhow, I don't have the packet any more, I threw it away when the trial finished. It might have been on but I didn't notice anything like that.

must say, since ur experiment i have been tempted to try it....

Weight at end of no pink patch period - 157.6. Total lost - 1.3 lb.

Robsia 05-11-2008 04:06 AM

Results:

6 days on Pink Patch
Average calories consumed = 1367 per day
Weight lost = 2.7 lb

6 days not on Pink Patch
Average calories consumed = 1353 per day
Weight lost = 1.3 lb

Exercise was more or less the same, although, if anything, I did more the second week as the weather was nicer so we went out for more walks.

--------------------

So, interpret those how you will, but those are the results.

To get a more valid result, we'd need to do a much longer trial of course, with more people, and control groups and placebos and stuff like that.

it would be good if a whole bunch of us tried it together i think, like start of june or somthing, apply for the patches now, get a free trial, cancel subscription, and see the results as a group

A cheaper alternative might be to take the main component of this patch, which is bladderwrack, also known as kelp, in tablet form:

http://www.simplysupplements.net/pro...0b1df2a49c5246

It's supposed to stimulate the thyroid gland, which boosts your metabolism and may help with weight loss.

i took kelp for about a month when i was at university....
it produced all sorts of side effects....
main one was constipation....
which i still get badly now if i dont eat my daily amount of fruit....
maybe the best way is natural weight loss....

freethetoys 05-11-2008 10:31 AM

i have tried a sort of dandelion tablet hels with natural diet weight loss by keeping your metabolism at a good rate, again all i got was constipation, very weak bladder, and not a huge amount of change, i think i agree with loopy.

I found another type of patch with identical ingredients to The Pink Patch - but it's only £18 for two months' supply.

i have to ask what are the ingredients in Adios?? EDIT found this:

Adios tablets are a herbal medicine which helps speed up weight loss.

The ingredients

Adios contains herbal ingredients derived from Butternut (sometimes known as Juglans), Dandelion Root, Boldo and Fucus. These botanical constituents have been traditionally used in combination, as part of a calorie-controlled diet, to help people lose excess weight.

im gonna get some on friday because last time i used it i dropped weight very fast!
