Hi

Not doing too well on the diet since Sunday.

All mixed up with meal times due to hospital visiting and the bagies playing a match on SUNDAY NIGHT, so I knew I wouldn't be eating until about 9.00pm.

Nibbled during the day and at around 7,.00pm couldn't stand it any longer and got a knorr Pasta Taste Break. Ate it at the computer and thought how nice it was. MMmmmmmm. How many sins in that then???? (did this the wrong way around, didn't I?) Looked at the sins on line, OMG 20odd sins. Well that did it, in for a penny in for a pound. I ate my meal, which was steak and jacket pot with salad. I had sooooooo much crusty bread and butter and then followed it up with 2 helpings of apple pie and custard.

Yesterday, a.m. back on the straight and narrow. Grapefruit for breckie, Salmon and salad and Wmeal bread (28g) for lunch, fruit. Got home. Bacon, Egg and CHIPS again with B + B.

Can someone stop this from flowing over to today, before I do some real damage?????

Jano - don't do it!!!!! You will feel bad afterwards - think of all the HARD work you have put in so far - you have done really well and you don't NEED all that fatty stuff. You can do it - I KNOW YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!

I agree that hospitals are dreadful! If it was any other business which was run that way it would have gone bust long before now - but we 'customers' are sort of trapped in the NHS's weird system. I've had that DNA rating before - the strange bit was that I turned up for my appointment 30 mins before the appointment was due - went to the reception to book in and was told that I was DNA - which is strange because the appointment time hadn't expired yet! I was told that the piece of equipment that was needed to treat me had 'gone missing' and that I should go home and wait and see..... It took four months for them to contact me again.

I was getting a bit worried about you BPB - I am so glad to see you are OK. You're right about grandkids being used as pawns.

Shift working is the pits.... I used to hate it when Kevin worked constant nights - it got better when I started working constant nights as well, although I never felt completely 'alive' for the whole year I did it. Winter was awful because I never saw any sunlight and summer was rough because the days were too noisy to sleep.

Carol - I hope you get that video! I still haven't quite figured out how the bids go up so fast.

Carol and I accidentally found ourselves bidding against each other for a video on eBay - so I thought it would be a good idea to start thread for selling on various bits and pieces (videos, clothes, recipe books, etc) - Anybody got anything they want to sell??

TQ...you are so funny...you were brave enough to wear the cossie to have the pictures taken and everyone around could see you, but not brave enough to let us all see...us who know exactly how you feel...can you imagine what I looked like when I started this diet...oh no stop there...don't even try to imagine that, I wouldn't want to put you off your dinner

But seriously...I do know how you feel...somehow we manage to be able to block out those feelings that actually make us see ourselves as others see us when we are wearing something...but photographs are a stark reminder and we can't hide from the truth when we see them....It was very difficult for me to post my own pictures on my website at first, but when I started that it was done really for my own benefit, and it was also a way to make sure I stuck with it this time.
Once I had posted them, I knew people had seen what I looked like and I thought then it would keep me spurred on to not give up and so far it has.

You keep a hold of those pictures TQ and get lots more taken along the way to your final goal.....when you reach your goal weight you will want everyone to see them...I just wish I could find a few more of myself at my heaviest now I'm actually really disappointed I never allowed people to photograph me then.

Missed out on the Pilates Video, someone out bid me 7 minutes before the auction ended - suppose thats the way to do it - not many people are on line constantly & can jump straight in & raise their bid.

Am watching a few other vids until they get closer to their end dates & then will decide whether to bid for them or not - how sad have I become.

Have had a busy day.. Eating not greating, exercise ok (just) need a big boot up the butt to get my motivation going again.

I too wear my cossie to go swimming, but would never post a picture of me wearing it. You'll just all have to come to the swimming pool or my house to meet me. Maybe as Ali says one day I'll feel ready to post them.

See you tomorrow

Carol

sarah - behave you know what i meant, it is far too cold to sit at this computer in a cossie and anyway all the curtains are down as we are in the middle of new window installation (stressed who me?) and there is no way i would sit here for all to see in my cossie.

Ali- I had the photos taken at home before I went swimming, it has been a long while since i posed beside a pool in a swimsuit!!
You know I wish I had the courage to send them and put them on as proof that I really mean it and am going to get there..........cos I am you know!!

I had one of those Dream white choc creme eggs today and you know what I didn't feel guilty about it at all cos it was included in my diet and i deserved it!! The worst thing was I couldn't eat it in public I had to wait until I was in the car and shove it in..........why do I (we) do that??

I have just come home from swimming (36 lengths yeah!!) and really feel like I have turned a corner with all this weight loss mularkey, I know the road to recovery is a long 'un and I am bound to get lost along the way but as long as I keep finding my way back here I will get there, and I know I will not be on my own!!

thanks for reading/listening

Well Done, TQ! It was really GOOD to read your post, you sound so positive in your thinking. Shame.... I had this mental picture of you sitting there in your cossie typing away... Poor you with the window fitters - we had that done at the last house and I was at screaming point by the end of the first day.

Well done on the 36 lengths - I could only manage 32 again this week - I had already done a 6 mile walk in the morning and it had sort of filtered through the rest of my body by the evening when I went swimming - I thought I was going to sink on the last length!

I mustn't tell Kevin about those Dream eggs. He's a bit of a white chocolate monster. I told my US diet buddy about white chocolate - she hasn't ever heard of it! Sad.... one of life's REAL luxuries!!!

Carol - good luck on your videos! If you ever see me bidding for anything that you have already bid for again, please let me know!!! I am a real novice when it comes to those auctions sites. Apart from eBay and QXL are there any more??

I am actually thinking about buying a Pilates video - I'm desperate to get rid of this jelly belly!

I hurt this morning did loads of sit ups and tummy exercises last night at aerobics I can hardly sit here.

Jano I chose the cat from the 3FC menu of pictures it was the only one which I havent seen anyone use plus it made me laugh - I'm a bit sick like that!! I don't know how to go into the "net" find a picture and then put it on myself - dh has promised to do it for me for weeks but he's a lazy git!

Today I have had a bit of clear out of my wardrobe and have got all my size 24 and 26 clothes and put them into a carrier bag and I'm taking this to the "mind" charity shop this afternoon - I will not be needing them again I'm going to get into a size 14 and flippin' well stay there

Don't give Sarah any more shopping/auction sites she'll never have time to get on here and talk to us...

well done melissa, you won't be needing those clothes again and you have to make room for all that new stuff you will soon be sliding into. I have a very tight (size 18 drawstring waist) denim skirt on, I am hoping it will be a lot loser next time I wear it

I have had this skirt 3 years, i am so glad i finally got to wear it!!

Well done Melissa on dumping those clothes. I need to do a similar thing with my wardrobe. But some of my size 22’s still do for work & I keep trying to kid myself on that I will take in a couple of the skirts & make them last a bit longer. I have done it for one, but am too lazy to do the others.

Had a buffet lunch at work today, and surprise surprise I ate too much. But I had already planned for this eventuality & I have made a salad for my dinner, which I’ll have with salad & later on a low fat Muller rice. Oh I sound so organised.

No exercise so far today. Decided to stay in bed this morning, it was beautiful just lying there in the sunshine. But am going to be struggling to fit something in now. I missed my walk because of the meeting & it is absolutely beautiful out there as well. Then tonight is Sean’s swimming lessons so I will be going for a splash around with Steve, but it’s not the same. Never know I might manage a walk this evening once the boys are asleep, if Ray is still there before he goes to work.

Anyway work beckons. Hope everyone is doing fine & having a great day

See you

Carol

Melissa and Carol - rather than binning the clothes that you have shrunk out of, if they are in good condition why not try selling them on the For Sale thread??

Can anyone remember the last time that flares were in fashion? Next door's two girls are very impressed with me, I have just managed to shrink in to a pair of size 16 BHS black sort of crushed velvet flares (they call them boot legs) - apparently they are quite 'in'!!!! I haven't got a clue when I bought them - definitely NOT in the last ten years!!
