I cannot believe the sights you can see on there, still if anyone is having problems with getting tights to fit them there are a good few styles available here!!

The 'man' fit confused me a bit too.

I have problems getting shoes in my size (10) and I was told recently to try shops for transvestites

I explained that I wouldn't like to be seen in that kind of shop really and they said well send for a catalogue..........can you imagine that one in the pile with the argos and lakeland catalogues

Sarah Ann, I'm so pleased for you. Good men are rare....took me years to find mine.
I would like to know what this course is about veggie. sounds like some of the team building stuff I used to endure.
As for feet, i have one client who cannot wear low shoes or walk in bare feet. If you wear heels too often you can damage your muscles/tendons. I have several other horror stories which I cannot repeat (client confidentiality and all that) BUT Look after your feet, you have no idea how important they are!
My diet has gone to ****. Im deep in the throes of PMT and no matter how much wholemeal bread and pasta I eat, i'm craving sugary stuff.

Seems a few of us were trying to fight the munches last night. I gave in too Flumper – those chocolate biscuits had to be eaten – didn’t they ?????? just like the chips. Today is a new day & a new start – lets all get back on track.

Sarah is you ever tire of your man – send him on to me. Ray is supposed to be taking me out this weekend. He was going to sort the babysitter & everything. Well here we are Friday morning & although I haven’t seen him since last weekend I know that nothing has been organised – yet. He still has a day & a half to pull it all together though.

I can’t believe it is March already. Where did February go. I haven’t lost much weight in Feb – 2lbs I think. But I gained the first week in Feb & spent 2 weeks trying to get rid of that. A mistake I hope not to make again marsh – but the way I am going this week ……………………. But I have exercised my heart out & I am fitter than I was a month ago. Not a lot maybe but a bit & that is definitely a step in the right direction towards my healthier lifestyle.

Was listening to the radio in the car this morning & on Radio Clyde they have a fun feature – I stress the word fun. Where you can phone in & ditch your lover so that you are free to go out on the pull at the dancing tonight. Well the feature is called ‘Fresh Start Friday’ thought the by-line, not the actually dumping, was quite appropriate to me today. So every time I am tempted today I am going to keep repeating to myself – Fresh Start Friday, Fresh Start Friday. I’ll need to come up with something catchy for Sat as well.

I am feeling a bit brighter this morning, that stuff from the chemist hasn’t kicked in yet. Hope it does soon, getting really fed up of this little problem. But anyway the sun is shining & I am not a person to be down for long.

I best go get prepared for a very exciting meeting all about business continuity that I have to go to this morning – the joys.

See you later

Carol

Come on, you lot - BE STRONG! Don't dive in to the sugary stuff and crisps for comfort - do something complicated to take your mind off the munchies.... I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!! (I know - this is the pot calling the kettle black here.... PLEASE let me find the strength from somewhere to resist the fish & chips tomorrow....)

Flumper.... that website isn't SUPPOSED to be funny (although I think it is) ... its just a shopping website for naughty clothing for larger ladies.

Carol - did you get the web address for the site - its on one of Veggie's posts.

Well... its our second day of foster training tomorrow (9 to 4.30) - I hope I don't go off the rails quite so badly as last week. Then we have got 3 evenings (7-9) of it during next week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!! The news about the conviction of the couple who almost killed their little boy this week really brought home to us why we need all this training about abuse. No - its not easy for us to have to listen to it all and look at the pictures and have the discussions - but we have to be able to deal with those kind of issues because it would be no use to anyone for us to fall apart with shock if a child like that were placed with us.

I know that I am going to sound totally nuts (especially after having told you lot my deepest darkest upsets about all this) but Kevin and I are thinking of specialising in fostering so-called 'damaged children' - children that have been severely abused in one way or another. Yes - I KNOW it sounds crazy after everything I have said - but we haven't got any children of our own at home who could possibly resent us caring for such damaged children and Social Services do have a huge amount of problems finding foster carers willing to 'take them on' because of the level of commitment needed.

Wish me luck for tomorrow.

Sarah you are an inspiration - just reading your post about the abused children really upsets me, if the NSPCC advert comes on I have to turn over. Saying that, I do give every month to the NSPCC and a couple of weeks ago in Nottingham a woman stopped me in the street and asked if I would give to a charity and I said "No sorry, I give to the NSPCC" and she hurled loads of abuse at me basically saying I was a liar!!!! I was really mad and upset. When do you think you'll get your first child?

Well it was Salsa again last night, what a laugh - we were being taught a new step last night where you have to dance forward, then back and then do a three quarter spin and then go straight into another step - I nearly fell over several times, my friend fell over twice and I nearly wet myself with lauging, and to add insult to injury me jeans are really lose around the waist and kept slipping down. I should go and buy more but I don't want to spend the £ when (hopefully) they won't fit for long.

Anyway I got on the scales this morning, I knew I'd do well this week 'cause dh is away (the house is also tidier but that's another matter) anyway I think I've lost 4lbs!!!! BUT when dh gets home tonight we're having a curry so I won't post it on the weekly weigh in until offical weigh in day on Tuesday.

I'm very motivated at the moment and I know it's all down to you guys, everytime I think about eating for the sake of it I come and see what you've all got to say for yourselves - I know I would not have lost any weight without you - thank you

Good luck for tomorrow Sarah. I think you would make a wonderful mum to children who have been through terrible ordeals.

That website is very strange. Where would you wear clothes like that or am I being totally naive?!

I can't believe its March already either. Carol, I only lost 4 lbs in February so don't despair, we will do better in March. I am aiming for 8 pounds. I know I need to exercise more, I just hate doing it.

I think most people would only wear them in the privacy of their own bedroom - but from what I saw on Fat Club the members of that website do have 'parties' where they wore those kinds of clothes.

Thanks, Melissa, for your kind words - I thought I had better go and just read my last post - and it all came over sounding a bit holier than thou, didn't it! I am definitely NOT a saint - it all started off because we couldn't have one of our own (between us - if you see what I mean) - and it is only as we have done some research and training that we can see how difficult it is for people who have got their own children at home to foster abused children so those kids seem to end up mouldering in children's homes - so basically we are just hoping to enter a niche market. LOL

They keep on telling us that we can't expect to get our first child for at least six months after applying - its to make sure that it wasn't a lightly made decision and to get all the checks, tests and assessments done.
