stepping

well i didnt just type it i went and did it , the stepping on and off stair , i didnt manage 20 mins i only got to 10:dizzy: but its 10 more minutes than i did yesterday or any other day, no point killing myself so im going to build myself up every day.its amazing what not showing a loss will motivate you into, but i promise myself to DO the exercise every day now instead of just thinking about it:p

question for stef?

stef if you read this (or anyone that may know) if i do 3 sets of ten minutes a day stepping will that still count as 30 minutes or is that a waste of time should i just try and build up to 20-30 mins

flumper 02-12-2002 02:51 PM

well im away to try my second set of ten minutes, ill do this until i find out its no use or my legs pack up whichever comes first:lol:

Encouragement for flumper

I weighed in Mon. morning and nothing. I really thought I was going to loose something like a pound. But remember it really could be water weight gain. Certain times of the month we do retain water....or something and you might weigh a couple pounds lighter next week.

Stick with the diet. Add exercise as you can. It will work for us I just know it will.

It is 9:00pm and I need to get the kid headed in the direction of bed.

Good luck with the job.

Keep with the exercise Flumper it is the only way this weight we have is going to come off. In my opinion 3 x 10 minutes stints of stepping is as good for you as 1 x 30 minutes, but what do I know? I think Stef has said something similar to Sarah in a previous post somewhere round here.

A little question I ask myself if I’m struggling to get out bed at 5:45 and get exercising is ‘how much do I want to be slimmer / healthier?’ The morning I answer myself with not all, will be the day I reach my target weight – until then we just need to keep slogging at it.

Wish I had stairs to work out on would make for variation. In one of my aerobics vids, Lorraine Kelly uses a pillar and a towel to work her legs. She suggests using your banisters to do the exercise – great if you have a banisters – I just have to skip that part of the work out as Ray refuses to build a pillar in the middle of the livingroom for me.

That's not very supportive of him, is it!!! After all - you could make it a feature.... perhaps have a nice little fountain come out of the top of it - a few plants growing up it.... you could start a trend.... Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen could bow at your feet with admiration!!!:dizzy:  :dizzy:  :dizzy:

Sorry - I'm having one of those silly days...... could be all the Bach Rescue Remedy! My avatar REALLY reflects how I feel this morning.....

Wow, there seems to be something in this Bach Rescue Remedy. I feel so much calmer at a time when I would usually be suffering from PMT!
