WW Exercise Buddy
Does anyone ahve one of these, and are they any good.
How do they work (ooohh sooo many questions) I have ordered one from WW at home - delivery 10 days:^: |
[COLOR=blue]Well, since no one has answered me I take it that no one has one of these gismos.
Mine arrived on Saturday but I didn't get chance to do anything with it until last night. Basically you set you weight into this thingy and also the length of your stride. It has two modes, normal (just walking around doing your daily business) and exercise. I got it set up for today and no wonder I don't lose weight, there are eight bars which get blackened out as you walk more. This is the healthy amount. Its now 4.00pm and I've only blackened 3 (all is = to about 2.1/2 mile) How am I ever going to lose weight, I;ll have to exercise until the cows come home. I suspected that this was my problem, I know I like a drink and I eat out but what I eat day to day should compensate for that, now I know why it is not doing so. Off to exercise!! |
Wasn't ignoring you, just never purchased one. Let us know how you get on and if you think it is worth investing in.

Is it like a pedometer then?Does it just measure distance or tell you calories burned etc?
|
It measures point earned on the WW diet, it measures step which equate to miles and it also just measured miles - I've just done 1.13 miles by rebounding. I'm a novice at this but I'll be chatting later if U r

How long were you rebounding for? Has your video arrived from bol yet? |
OK - I've heard the term before, but I haven't got a clue what it means.... what is rebounding?
It sounds like something to do with boomerangs....!!! I've got myself in to a walking routine. My basic walk (if the weather is bad) is a road circuit of 3.5 miles. If the weather is nicer and it is dry underfoot I have got another couple of walks which are gorgeous - the first is an hour and a half and the second is an hour and three quarters. I like the second one, but the dog prefers the first one so I alternate it. Because the are both mostly on grass (the Moors) you burn off more cals than if you were on a paved surface. Its much easier to exercise if you are enjoying what you are doing rather than getting hung up on time/distance. Maybe you aren't the walking type - perhaps you ought to try something like swimming or aerobics. The experts all recommend 30 mins of exercise 3 or 4 times a week. I only do more because a) the dog tears the house up if I don't and b) I am at a big risk of developing osteoporosis. |
Rebounding
BPB - I rebounded for about 30 mins, no my new tape hasn't come yet. It is coming from the manufacturers :-(
I have found out more about this gizmo now. If I just have it on miles I can use it for normal walking about and exercising, it still gives you a healthy indicator on miles, since I came home and rebounded and up until now I have done 1.584 miles add that to what I did during the day when I had it on steps) and I am into bonus points. Rebounding really knocks the miles up though the girl on Customer Services at WW said she didn't think rebounding would register. My aim now is just to do a little more each day. At least I can keep tabs on it. Sarah-Ann - Rebounding is trampolining on a PT bouncer - its fun!! |
