Curves
 

I'm new to this site and really enjoying it so far, I am looking for your advice. I noticed that there is now a curves opened where I work. Could anyone who goes tell me what they think of it and a bit more about it please. I want to exercise more but dont want to pay out money for something that is a load of rubbish.

I used to go to Curves until 2 months ago. I'm on medical leave because of a bulging disc. I always enjoyed it the company and the workout. I joined with Chris in 2002, she's now working at one. It's nice that it's for women only and you work at your own pace. I do miss it.

If you don't know much about curves, it's a circuit with machines that work with hydrolics, not weights...and it takes 30 minutes to do, that's the warm up, work out and stretching.

You should be able to go in and ask for a guest pass which would give you a free week or two and that would give you time to decide if you like it.

If it's a new club, they want NEW members so will offer practically anything to get you to join.

Like CG has said, I work there, but have been a long time member. I did lose a ,load of fat off my bod the first couple of years there, because I was eating properly as well. I am not as light as I was a few years back, but I'm fitter than I was ten years back...and I know using the machines does change your body shape if you're going to work out consistantly...

So go in, ask for a free trial, and see what you like. I hope you enjoy :)
