My only vice on my new healthy eating plan is drinking Diet Coke. I used to drink quite a bit (yes, addicted to it) but now I have cut back. On average I drink about 6 cans a week and it does pep me up when I'm tired. I do not drink coffee or tea.
I quite worried about the impact of Diet Coke on my weight loss. I know there is lots of information about aspartame poisoning, but I have recently read reports about it hindering weight loss. This could be the normal anti-corporate propaganda, but the saying 'you only ever see overweight people drink diet coke' does ring true.
What do you all think? Has anyone given up diet sodas and noticed any real difference?
