Another newbie saying hello

Hi, I'm Emma. I started the Lighterlife programme about 10 weeks ago and I've lost nearly 3 stone so far. It's been hard as I'm a single parent so I still get to make lunches and cook dinner but the results are definately worth it!
I've got another 4 stone to lose so I'll be on the diet for a while yet. Just wanted to say hello!

Welcome to 3FC Emma. You've done really well losing 3 stone.

RowanMoon 04-03-2007 01:14 PM

Thanks Icicle! I'm not sure how I do it either sometimes. Except that it seems easier to not have to measure food, work out portion sizes or count calories etc. The difficult bit is ignoring the food that everyone else is eating around you :(
Still I keep telling myself that if the weight keeps falling off like this it's worth it. What's going to be really hard work is keeping it all off! And I've never been under 13.5 stone ever (as an adult anyway :)), so that'll be the most interesting bit for me.

emma2 04-04-2007 08:20 AM

Hi Emma (from another Emma!)

Your weight loss is great!

I understand what you mean about ignoring what everyone else is eating around you - particularly with Easter upon us!! I'm seriously staying away from supermarkets. But I think you have all the motivation you need to keep on going after such a brilliant start to your diet! :D

wheres all these lighterlife ppl at?

Hi Emma,

I did Lighterlife last year and did manage to complete 8 out of the fourteen week programme however had to drop out due to the cost. I then had a break and tried to maintain my weight loss through healthy eating but struggled because I did't reach my initial goal. Last week I started an online diet plan similar to Lighterlife called key2weight and have been pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food packs and bars are at a fraction of the cost. I have now completed seven days and lost an amazing 11lbs which I'm really chuffed with!!
