5.Black pudding delicious also known as blood pudding.Best eaten hot.

6.Goonies don't know sounds like it would be some part of your anatomy. Lou the Goodies were on tv.

7.Talk you back not sure probably talk to you later??

Life On Mars great show they should have the new series on BBC America when it is available. I read that David Kelley is working on an adaptation for the US.
  • Scrambled eggs on toast - not a favourite of mine but so long as its on a mixed grain toast its a very balanced breakfast.

I have a vague recollection that Arsenal football supporters are called goonies (or gooners). Goolies are slang for testicles

Call in is something I say when I'm intending to visit someone... 'I'll coming round your way so I'll call in'. Can also be used as an instruction to phone in. i.e. 'Call in when you've finished.'

Clear down I think is a radio term - used to tell people to stop transmission.

Black pudding... depends on where you were brought up as to whether you like it nor not. In some areas of the UK its a delicacy.

Talk you back... my husband uses this for when someone on their to his work or our house is lost so he needs to talk them through the route on their cell phone as they are travelling.

    Rooney - Wayne Rooney - a footballer.

    Love these questions!
  • Scrambled eggs on toast! Do they not do that in America? I'm outraged!
  • Quote: Scrambled eggs on toast! Do they not do that in America? I'm outraged!

I do like poached eggs on toast.
  • Sunny side up on toast......yum!

I've done scrambled also, but I actually like to pierce the yolk and mop it up with the toast. I think poached does this too if it isn't cooked too long. But lately, I've been sticking with egg whites....and no toast....
  • I have scrambled eggs on toast all the time...love it.
  • The Gunners is the nickname for Arsenal.

Add me to the scrambled egg on toast fan club but you've got to have marmite drizzled over it otherwise it doesn't work.
  • the goonies was a kids film about one eyed willy the pirate
  • Oooh yes - scrambled eggs with a bit of lf cheese mixed in, and on marmite toast You girls make me hungry!

Yeah I remember the Goonies film. Scary bald bloke.
  • Marmite, isn't that like Vegemite? DD brought home a jar of Vegemite a couple years ago when she visited Australia. She "treated" us to toast Vegemite and I can't see why it is such a treat. Palatable, yes, a delicacy, no. Way too salty for my taste.
  • A delicacy.... I wouldn't call it that! Marmite is a bit stronger than Vegemite, but generally just the same.
  • Jen you heathen! You cannot possibly write off marmite as basically the same as vegemite - that's almost like saying that ben and jerrys is basically the same as vienetta. Sigh...what i wouldn't give for some ben and jerry's now

Anyway, as a marmite purist I'm coming out to defend the old black and yellow tub.

PS - jen, now that i know you are jenfrus congrats on the brown belt.
  • Wayne Rooney is the bloke you mean. He is a footballer (because of his stocky shape I always think he plays rugby!"). He is a naughty boy - I think a grannnie of 52 claims he had sex with her when she was a prossie in Liverpool.
