  • Good morning, I started out with really good intentions yesterday but unfortunately they fizzelled real quick. Then was going to exercise and that did not happen either. BUT I did find out about our upcoming rally that I would have missed if I had not called area captain about something else. THe paperwork never got to us or else leader accidently lost it. So I had to e-mail and write everyone as it is in 2 weeks and paper work was suppose to be back this week. She is resending it and I will call her when I find out who is going. So far only two of us. But I am looking forward to it.
    My weekend was ok.. I met my SRD friend for lunch on Saturday and I introduced her to the Dollar store. She had never been to one where everything is only a dollar
    Sherri--make sure John takes a picture of you as grapes. As I imagine it I get a chuckle
    Congrats to all that are doing so great and the rest of you. Don't give up.

    Things are looking up! Our meetings are now back to the library and I actually won runner up best loser last month! I was totally shocked. That sure did motivate me to get moving again! Thanks guys! I felt the good vibes - big time!!

    Our Club had a good week .We gave up bread and had a total 22 1/2 loss....
    I did 2 1/2 so no more bread.Bread is dead.

    At least you had good intentions and that is what is needed to get you back on track. Tomorrow is a new day and you will do better. Keep up the determination and you will get there. Glad that you will be able to go to the rally. I think ours will be a lot of fun also.

    Congratulations on runner up best loser that is great. I know what you mean. I got best loser last week and it has been months since I got that before. I was so surprised it really made me feel great. Glad you got your meetings back on track again. That always helps when we have a meeting.

    Congratulations on your loss. That is great. Yes breads do get us that is for sure. Keep up the great work. I do better when I cut back on carbs myself. But I can't take them completely out of my diet. I love them too much.LOL Hope you have another great week. Keep up the great work.

    I did great today. I am back on the hollywood diet today and doing great. I weighed myself this morning and of the 9 lbs I lost on my scale last week from doing the diet I only gained back 2 lbs of it. I was so proud of myself. I stayed on plan all week end until yesterday and today I started this diet again through tomorrow. I have drank a lot of water that is for sure. I am on my 4th 32 oz cup for the day. I still have to drink my last drink for the day also. But with all this water I am drinking I don't even miss not having the drink. I can't wait to see how much I lose this week. But at least I didn't gain back all of it and then some like I have been doing. So I should be ahead this week with a great loss. I am very motivated right now and I hope it lasts until I reach my goal this time. It is so hard to get back on track once you get lost. But it is sure worth it once you do get back on track.
    I put together the poster for our contest that I am starting on thursday. The person that earns 6000 miles first losing a total of 10 lbs at the end of the contest wins the mystery vacation. I am putting in a box things that have to do with the destination. I have choosen Hawaii as the mystery destination. I have a few brochures in color of all the islands and the resteraunts, lodging, and entertainment. Also I got 2 wine glasses, a bottle of maui snapps for a hawaiian drink, 2 lays, and I am putting in a fresh pinapple. So it will be a neat contest. The way it works is like this. For every 1/4 lb lost you earn 150 miles. The one to get to 6000 miles first with a 10 lb loss is the winner. There can't be any ties. Also if you gain you lose your miles. That way it will help ensure there are no ties. Hopefully when they don't know what they are winning it will encourage weightloss and help motivate some people. The only way to move your plane closer to the destination is to lose weight. So we will see how it goes. There is no timeframe with this contest. I don't know how fast people will lose the weight. So it is hard to put a timeframe on it. I hope they like it.
    I am going to go to bed now.

    I had good intentions also, but something happened!
    I have eaten everything in sight today. I think I have an ear infection. My ear has hurt all day,I have a Dr. appointment at 7 AM in the morning! That was the only time I could get in on such short notice. And since I am swollen around my ear and down my neck, my dh insisted I GO!

    Eleni, just hang in there. Take it one day at a time and you will get it turned around. At least you are trying, and that counts a lot.
    The rally should give you some motivation. I missed ours, I had to be out of town. I really don't like to miss one, they are always good encouragement.

    Sherri, I like your contest idea. Sounds like it might be fun and should jump start some who are not doing well (like ME!). I may give it to our contest chairman if you don't mind.
