I hate to even ask this question at this time with all that is going on but I thought I had better ask so I would know.......

Ok here is the thing... I lost my Kops status last night...because of a 1/2 pound that I didnt lose, now my question is........ How long do I have to wait to get it back?? And when I do get it will I still get to graduate??? I never got to graduate from this time so I was just wondering, I feel stupid even having to ask these questions but I just needed to know and figured someone out there had the info I needed...... Know my thougths and prayers are still with you all...... BIG TOPS HUGS

Hi Christie,

I'm sorry that you lost your KOPS status last night. I've been there and done that.

In regards to your questions, you can get your status back as soon as you get back to your goal weight. It could be next week if you reach it by then. The previous date that you reached KOPS will no longer pertain. The date you reach goal again will be your new official KOPS date. Luckily for you, the old KIW rule is no longer around, otherwise you would have to wait 13 weeks to reach it!!

How long did you have your KOPS status before last night? Yes, you can graduate...but, you are allowed only one graduation. Technically you will be a reinstated KOPS, but you never did the graduation thing. Are you planning on graduating at SRD or in your chapter?

Hope these answered your questions and I look forward to hearing your responses to mine. Maybe I can then give you more info if needed.

I am really struggling and am about 5#'s out of leeway right now. I have gone absolutely out of control and my body is really feeling it. The back is out right now and I'm hurting and I KNOW it is from my own stupidity. Must get it back together.

TOPS hugs,
Summer

Thanks Summer

I totally know how you feel with being out of control!!!!
I had my status from January to September....... I just cannot believe how hard keeping status was, I never knew worrying about 3 pounds would be such a huge part of my life and so hard, I am totally here for you if you need me on helping you keep your status, I would hate for you to lose it like I did, And I am gonna try very hard to get it back and get below goal and stay there so that it isnt such a horrible experience, The stress is sometimes unbearable before weigh ins. I havent ever graduated anywhere and wanted to graduate at SRD in 2002 so wish me luck and Thanks so much for all your help... I really needed it:^:
Big Tops Hugs!!

Christie, Thank you for your kind words and offer of support. I held KOPS status from Dec '95 to August '97, then regained 25 pounds of the 60 I lost. I just didn't care.....please do not let yourself do that. Keep real close to that goal weight...don't get crazy like I did.

It took me 2 1/2 years to get it back in March '00. So my new KOPS anniversary date is March '00. In regards to how many years I have been a KOPS though, I can count two. A KOPS can only keep entire years that status is held....so right now I have one from my first go around and one from this current one. If I can keep my status through next March, I will be considered a 3 year KOPS. I hope that makes sense to you.:dizzy: Unfortunately, you lost the 8 months status since there wasn't a whole year accumulated....so you will be starting all over. You still should be able to graduate at SRD. Just to be doubley sure, ask your leader for your State Coordinators phone number or email and ask that person directly.

I too eat more the more I am stressed. It is NOT easy to keep KOPS...and I remember thinking when I first joined that the KOPS had it made. NOT SO!!! Yes, it is a challange to get it off, but that challange never goes away. That is why we have weight problems to start with.:^: The way we eat needs to be a 'life style change' in order for this to be easier on us...and that in itself can be difficult. We are creatures of habit and those habits are hard to break. I need to be sneakier :s: and smarter  than

You know you can make it to goal. You did it once and you will be 'on top of that mountain' again soon!!! Me too!!!
Take care and I'm toasting you with my water bottle.......

TOPS Hugs,
Summer
