July 2 - 8 Menu/Exercise Thread

  • S: 1 grapefruit
    B: 1 spinach/bacon souffle from Panera (510 cal!) + fresh fruit + 20oz coffee w/cream
    S: popcorn w/butter at the movie theater ... half of the smallest bag they had, which was still more than enough!
    S: 2 bowls tomato soup w/kale and croutons
    D: 1 tortilla w/melted cheese and jalapenos + 1.5c pasta/vegetable/shrimp salad
    S: 2.5 glasses of Sparkletini wine

    E: Walked ~6 miles on trails downtown
  • Monday Menu
    B: 1 serving grapes + 2c coffee w/1% milk
    L: 1.5c shrimp/vegetable/pasta salad + 1 serving raw asparagus
    D: 2 tortillas w/melted cheese and hot peps, 2 bowls tomato soup w/kale and croutons
    S: 1c cooked kale (sauteed in 1t olive oil, garlic, lemon juice)

    E: walked for 20 min w/coworker

    Damn, I GAINED this week in TOPS. I don't get it. Alcohol and a lot of walking (sore muscles), maybe?
  • Breakfast Tofu Noodles with mushroom and garden pasta sauce

    Lunch mashed cauliflower and spinach

    Dinner 3 bean chili with rice cheese over baby greens


    hay girlfriend good for you on the walk was it two days in a row? I love the house salad at panera. Did you make your Kale soup I want the recipe as I'm trying to eat as much of the stuff as i can I'm going to turn into a veggy
  • Hey GG, yes, it was 2 days in a row! I just add kale to whatever canned soup I have, just to add a little nutrition to it.

    B: 1 tortilla w/peanut butter and a banana + 2c coffee w/1% milk
    L: tortilla w/2 pc salami, 1.5 oz cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onion + chips & salsa
    S: shrimp vegetable pasta salad + celery/carrots + red/blackberries
    D: shrimp platter from Long John Silver's ... way too many cals
    S: Chips, salsa

    E: 45-min walk
  • Wednesday Menu
    B: 1 tortilla + 1 banana + 1T peanutbutter + 2c coffee w/1% milk
    L: 4 Ryvita crackers + 2oz Laughing Cow cheese + mushrooms + carrots
    D: 2.5pc Indian frybread w/chutney + 2 samosas + shrimp/steak/chicken entree (with rice and soup and a "garnish" of vegetables) + strawberry pie (1pc)

    WTH has gotten into me!

    breakfast somore luna bar
    lunch grilled cheese with fries and a mr pib
    dinner humus, cheese and portabela sandwich and a big I mean big brownie
  • Thursday Menu
    B: 1 tortilla + 1T peanut butter + 1 banana + 2c coffee w/1% milk
    L: 1 big southwestern salad (2c lettuce + tomatoes + red peppers + 3oz chicken + 1/2c roasted-corn salsa + 1/2 the container of dressing)
    S: 1 mushroom/spinach sandwich, a few little bars from Mom
    D: chips, salsa, half an entree of cheesy porky enchiladas, half a flan

    Note: here's what I DIDN'T eat, but really wanted to: breakfast at a fast-food restaurant (an emotional-eating thing), a burger and fries at work's cafeteria

    B: 1 wh-wh tortilla + 1 banana + 1T peanut butter + 2c coffee
    S: Pay Day donut and a muffin
    L: 1 salad w/dressing and feta + 4 crackers + 2oz cheese
    D: 1c broccolini/carrot salad + spinach/mushroom/cheese quesadilla + leftover enchiladas + tomato/mozzarella skewer

    E: Walked for about 45min with my friend P.

    S: 1c grapes + 1c milk
    B: 1/2 spinach/artichoke souffle and 1/2 large fruit cup from Panera + coffee w/cream
    L: 3oz chicken w/bbq sauce, 1c zucchini w/1t butter, 1 serving roasted potatoes
    S: 1/2 large bag of movie popcorn WITH topping
    D: 4oz chicken w/bbq sauce, 2 tortillas, lettuce, tomato, way too much (like, 1.5c) scalloped potatoes w/ham
    S: 3 candy bars

    E: walked 4 miles!

    As you can tell, the day started out great, but by the evening I'd found myself on quite the detour. *sigh* Everything in red is NOT on my day's plan.
