Saturday is here!
Good morning to all. The family and I are getting ready to go and have a family day out. Waiting on everyone else to get ready. I have been having a couple hard days, but working to pull myself out of it. I have been discouraged about how much I am exercsing and counting everything I put in my mouth and still only getting little loses from the scale. I think I also got discouraged from the girl who is taking diet pills at our meeting and says I am losing so easily without even trying, that comment really has been driving me nuts for the past few days. I am not giving up for her, I am staying strong for me, but it still bugs me. I think I need to add some variation to my routine, I see everyone seems to do a little bit of everything, any good recomendations. I have been doing walking and yoga, and very little weight training. I think I need to increase the weight training, dont know, was wondering about suggestions from everyone.
Hope all is well with everyone. Eleni, Christie, Motivation, Sadie, Shelley - hope you are back soon, bummer on the computer, poohquilt, wrbedell, i know I am forgetting someone, but I hope everyone and all have a great weekend, trying to pull myself out of this mood and make the best out of the entire weekend. I know we all have our slumps, dont we? Well, thanks to all for listening. Have a great weekend and be good. Angie |
I have to make this quick as I am late for my hair appointment
Angie--I know exactly how you feel.We have a couple that are doing great and they are not busting a-- like most of us.And when they talk about how easy it is and how they never get hungry i am beside myself. It takes every bit of willpower to sit there and listen.I don't know why it is easier for some but you are doing it the right way and your weight will stay off.Theirs will come back on.I will come back later Have to go.:) |
Good Day everyone
Hi everyone,
I can definately relate to what everyone is talking about. We have a girl that is admittadly starving herself to lose weight (she loses about 8-10 pounds a week on average) and yet when we have awards or best loser and she wins we all applaud her efforts, what efforts. And I talked to both my weight recorder and leader about it to vent my frustrations (I am a struggler) and they said when you lose it that quick it is bound to come back plus more. But that isn't helping me now. Frustrating but at least we are doing it the right way and hopefully when it comes off we will not get it back:D We don't weigh in until Thursday night but this week I decided to incorporate weight training and water drinking to see if that makes a difference. Well, I hope everyone has a good weekend. |
Exercise Blues !
You could call me a couch potato even tho I tosssed my couch out I still am not into Exercise...Thats a dirt word to me....Well my TOPS PAL has me out walking and I cant get used to the idea of walking without a shopping cart.
Anyway I think its working on my elimination system as I have a problem with that but its improving..Now if I could just get rid of the aches and pains.... Nice to read the posting , its such a motivation to me to come here and see others working toward their goals. Well Ive babbled enough but I wish everyone a successful week and I will be back soon. Thanks so much for the input
I really appreciate the input on this topic. I am glad someone else understands about how slow this turtle thing can be and how frustrating it can be.
Eleni - thanks for the input, I dont want to get upset with anyone on their loses, but it makes me so frustrated, when I am fighting the hunger pain over and over again, drinking the water, and sweating more than I ever have, to get less than a pound loss, I mean come on here!!! Than you go to the mall, and of course where can you eat and be good in the mall, I end up getting chicken breast and diet coke, look around, trying to enjoy this, and see all this skinny people eating the fries and the good food is what I will call it. My biggest problem is trying to change what I eat, and also to try to enjoy exercise, well - still working on that one. thanks for the input, I do appreciate it. Cbabe - you sound like me, I love to shop and can walk forver without realizing how far I have walked. A friend told me to get a pedometer and track how far I walked, no matter how I did it, walking was walking. I am still awaiting the pedometer to come in the mail, but I did read an article the other day, that said women relieve stress and get exercise by doing one thing they enjoy - shopping, now if they would only provide us the extra money so we could buy more things. I might be able to stay in the mall longer if I could have an extra big bills in my pocket. But, I do love to shop and love to look, so I look at it a little better now, I am walking some. Still park way out in the parking lot, and of course it loves to rain on me when I do that, but one step at a time. Poohquilt - I think I would have to hold myself back not to slap the person, did I really say that. I can not tell you how hard I have to work to make it through a week, and when someone makes a comment - it's easy, no effort at all, or many of the other little comments you just love to hear. I think, how can you say that, we are here because we want to be with people that are having the same frustrations. I think that girl must be making herself sick, wow, that is a huge loss, and not good for any part of the body. thanks for all the input, having a hard time, but chatting about it is making it easier. I know this is the right way, I appreciate all I am putting into this, sometimes I just want to eat an entire pack of double stuff oreo cookies with milk - my true weakness, dont keep them in the house at all -- but I know inside what is right and what is wrong. My question is why do the wrong things taste so good??? I am gonna go for a walk today and work on enjoying it, I will come back and chat you girls later. Hope everyone is having a great weekend...
