yogini- How far are you from your goal???Looks like 2 more pounds and you will have reached it

Well today is going as planned so far...not looking for any excuse to fail, I lost the 2 pounds I gained over the weekend as of this morning so I am looking for a good scale week at Tops. I started the South Beach phase one for a few days to get well under goal by Thanksgiving...I want to eat whatever I want Hope you ladies have a great day Keep up the great work !! It is truly paying off
  • Just wanted to say Congrats to all you ladies on the challenge!

You are doing an awesome job
  • Christian, I am pretty close to reaching my mini-goal. I need to change my sig to reflect that...I have 100 more to go and I am serious about it this time! I am doing it, no looking back! Way to go on your planning ahead for the holiday...I like being able to plan for a higher calorie event by exercising more and keeping my calories low;it makes this a livable plan and not a "diet"

    Phantastica, what a balanced day

Thanks for the encouragement, Penny. You are doing great too! 51 pounds, WOW!

    Keep on keepin' on, Ladies!
  • Yogini- You are gonna do it girl The way you are eating you will be there before you know it

Penny- Hope all is well, miss you girl
  • Yogini, your soup sounds delicious!

Pretty good day today - first day on the new job went well, and I weighed in at TOPS and lost 2½ pounds! I am officially under 300 pounds now. I have 3 weeks to lose 5 pounds in order to meet this challenge. Sounds completely feasible at this rate!
  • Phantastica- Glad your first day went well You are doing SO good...

Yesterday went well, I am getting to where I am not craving junk anymore, I guess I had tooo much the past weekend

    Here is today plan...

B- 2 eggs and 1 cup decaf with 3 tbls organic skim milk

    L- huge salad like yesterday

S- homeade taco salad with lots of salsa (no chips)

snack- slice of crustless pumpkin pie with ff coolwhip YUMMY!! (weight watchers pie)
  • Tuesday Menu
    B - 1½ c kashi heart-to-heart cereal with 1 c milk (this cereal is surprisingly good)

    L - 1½ c mixed greens, 1 T salad dressing, ½ oz bleu cheese + ¾ c vegetables grilled w/olive oil, 3 oz turkey
S - Skinny Cow ice-cream sandwich (I was frustrated about losing my $40 bus card )
D - fish, sweet potatoes, salad with f-f dressing
    S - another Skinny Cow ice-cream sandwich
  • "Pink" lentils with green beans, corn, peas and garlic (1 cup) I'm just NOT hungry! Odd!

1/2 Cranberry Kombucha Tea (30 calories)

I know I'll juice and have the usual (carrot, beet, celery) but may throw in some mixed greens I have that I don't feel like eating. Do you ever just get tired of chewing ?

I'm not sure what else I'll eat today...it's gloomy outside and I am tired, not wanting to eat today (VERY unusual!). Also, my weigh-in day is tomorrow and I feel like I don't want to eat "heavy" foods at all today...silly, I know because food weight is not fat weight but I like to see a loss each week and win I weighed myself at work today and was down by 3.5 pounds but who knows if the scale there is the same as the TOPS scale or if I'll retain water tomorrow or whatever... what can you do but keep at it?

I taught a great yoga class this morning, with 20 students including a few new ones and it really inspired me to do my best for the newbies, really explaining the poses. We worked a sweat up

Phantastica, way to go with the loss and try the soup out sometime if you can...it sounds like an odd combination of things but it's really good (I had to make it two days in a row because my family liked it so much).

Christian, thanks for the kind words (I'll be KOPS someday, maybe next year even!) and thanks to everyone for the encouragement! I am so blessed to have the support I have here, since I have very little in my non-online life!

    Edited to add:

1/2 cup blueberry juice with 1 cup Pellegrino

1 sprouted bun with 5 thin slices Tofurkey, 2 tsp. German mustard, 1 tomato and 1/4 an avocado

And another 1 1/2 cups of the lentil-veggie mixture
