here are some tips to start the day
9 TIPS TO WEIGHT LOSS (1) I don't use the word "diet" because diet is something one goes on and off. I refer to my plan as watching my weight. I am always conscious of what I eat to make sure it is good for me. This is not only to lose weight, but also to prevent high blood pressure, cholesterol, cancer and other health problems if I can. (2) I set long-term goals to reach my desired weight. Losing as little as one to two pounds a month...and keeping it off is more important to me than losing 10 and gaining them all back. Besides, losing weight this way does not seem like I am depriving myself. I eat because I enjoy food. (3) I keep track of everything I eat each day, including social events. If I am going out to dinner, I cut back on other meals throughout the day. When I go overboard a little, I do not let it bother me. I know that if I cut right back the next day, I will lose again. (4) I have followed so many plans in the past that I know the healthy foods and what I must include in my daily intake to lose weight. I have been successfully losing weight without deprivation because I am not cutting out foods. Instead, I cut my portions of all food intake by 1/3. To keep my metabolism going, I leave some of each meal for a snack of usually fruit, vegetables, or some fiber food at late morning, afternoon, and very early evening. When I have a craving for desserts, I allow myself a sliver of cake or pie to be eaten usually with my meal. That satisfies me for many days. I keep sliver portions of desserts in the basement freezer so as not to tempt me, and take them out only when I want them. Hope you have a good day :wave: |

Well I turtled last night. After loosing all the weight from being sick, it was just water. It sounds as though everyone is starting each day fresh. That's great. Since going back to work, i've been really busy. Everything is way behind, but have been trying to keep on track somewhat. i hope to get back on tonight. Everyone have a great day, and stay on track. Well eleni I loved your tips. It was just like we were talking about yesterday. Thanks for the reminder. You are so very right. You keep up that great attitude and keep reaching for those stars and you will do great. Enjoy your new lunches today. Wendy, Are you finally feeling better? I hope so. It was so long when you were sick. That is okay that you had a turtle. Your body has been through a lot. That is great. Also I am glad to hear that you are starting over again today also. Yes we are all taking it day by day here it seems and that is great. We are starting each day fresh with no mistakes and we aren't giving up at this. We are sticking together and we will make it. I am on the road today. I will not be getting subway today way too much sodium for me.LOL I am going to settle for spaghetti. I know there is only sodium in the sauce and the dressing for my salad. I will have a low sodium breakfast and dinner is virtually sodium free. I have made a stew from steak and made my own broth so there is no salt in that. I won't add salt either. Hi Everyone! I wanted to come in and fess up today! I did good until I got home from work yesterday. I had this junk food in the house and I ate chips and dip and cheetos that I knew I shouldn't have. But then I made beef enchilladias and by the time it was done, I was so full on the junk. I did not even get to eat the good stuff I made. So today is a new day and I am back at it again. I did exercise yesterday and get all my water in. So I am now taking my dinner to work for lunch today!

Well so far so good on the low sodium eating, Had a taco last night though so I will do alot better till weigh in for sure, I am not gonna let it whip me :lol: Eleni- Thanks for the tips ! And I got your card yesterday too... You are tooo sweet to me :) You just keep up the good work and I am loving that new attitude girl!!! Penny- Dont worry about yesterday...it is gone;) Just focus on today and everything will go great for you...You have what it takes and that is what is gonna make the difference! Sherri- Thanks for the e-mail...It sure helps me to get on the right track when I wake up and have support before I start the day:D You are so brave for putting the scale up, I know you will have a loss this week!!! yes it is still moring here in Sunny Calif. I went to my meeting las night. i joined.:) I think this is a great bunch of ladies. It seemes like they realy care. I need that. I was a little surprized about my weight. I usualy weigh in in the morn naked. But I guesss after eating breakfast, lunch and drinking my water(I usually drink from 80 oz to 100 oz a day) that would add a little weight on the scale. But I am NOT going to obsess about this. I will eat a normal monday menu and drink my water like usual. I WILL NOT take off my jewerly or find the lightest clothes to wear. I went thru all that before and I WON'T again. Well enuf rambling. We can do this ladies. We are worth it.:cool: |

Had I good day today! Didn't get enough water in though! It was very warm out and I felt dizzy going yard work. I immediately drank a liter them felt much better! Not used to the warm weather I guess! Wendy-where are you from in Michigan? I'm not familiar with it? I'm from Grand Haven, you know it? I really miss it there! Especially when all my brothers and sisters are there visiting and I'm here. It really makes me homesick. But I have promised myself that I wouldn't let any family see me again until I've lost a significent amout of weight! We were home at Christmas and I was huge and embarressed! Never again! Well penny I lost the challange but you lost it first.LOL I did break down and have the brownie sundea today. I ate very low sodium all day but then I gave in and had the sundea. I have been putting it off for awhile now so I just decided to have it. And boy was it good. I am not going to worry about it. I am home for the rest of the week. I think I am eating too low sodium only because the things I am making are so bland that they are not filling me up and satisfying me. So see we are learning as we go. I will have more sodium but a better diet for the next few days. I will have a sandwich but I will use the wheat diet bread because it is less sodium then the regular and it keeps me away from the white flour stuff that I don't want to have. I am also going to inquire about the meats sold at the store tomorrow also. I want to see what the difference is whether they cut it themselves which is more expensive then what is in the packages. I know the sodium in the package of pork chops was high. So maybe the fresh cut ones are less in sodium. I will inquire about it and let you know. It is more money but it might be worth it. Good Weigh
After three weeks and two gains , the scale kissed me with a
7.25 Loss. Thanks to all of you and my TOPS chapter I didnt give up when the going got tough.29.50 lbs less. Plus I was awarded $10.00 for being queen 4 times...thats incentive to keep losing. I am very close to my first small goal..another 11 lbs and you will hear fireworks.LOL We shared the theme of "Whats cluttering your Life ,how it makes you feel and what can we do about it." We came up with a variety of CLUTTERS and solutions. TRY IT. Its neat. Ive descided to stop feeling bad about those clutters and be positive in solving them with all the support from the PALS. Hope this will motivate eveyone like it did me. Well enough about TUESDAY...Tomorrow starts another LEGAL week .... SUCCESS to all CBabe :) |
